Was told by my tour guide, “If it looks like Gluten it probably is.” She stated it is pretty easy to know what’s gluten free or not in Iceland. She was right. The buffet was pretty easy to decipher. No issues at all. Delicious.
This restaurant is the perfect place to be introduced to Icelandic food. It appears to simply be a buffet but was extravagant. There is no gluten free menu per se but the maitre d' walked the buffet with my celiac wife and showed her everything she could and could not eat. My wife is extremely sensitive but had no adverse reaction. They use cornstarch in nearly all of their sauces and my wife had no shortage of choices off the buffet.
