First, Ritcey East has a wonderful chef. If you are a "foody" then you will love this place. Second, it is very easy to get *real* answers on what you can and cannot have. Third, the atmosphere is relaxed but upscale enough to feel like you are out for a special occasion and the people are welcoming and friendly. Last, they do not have a dedicate fryer. So there is a great range of dishes that are gluten free, you have to ask specifically for those that do *not* go in the shared fryer. I'm a no-shared-fryer gal. Hopefully, they may consider changing things up in the future for the truly gluten intolerant, celiac, allergic, etc. Love love love this place though!
While many items on this menu are marked GF, or GFP (gluten free possible), with the QR code menu, when you turn your phone landscape, you’ll see the fine print- “please note we have shared fryers”. This eliminates most of the menu for Celiacs, since a lot of their menu is fried comfort food (was really excited for fried pickles!). They can make the tacos GF by searing versus frying the fish and using corn tortillas, and the burgers can be GF with GF buns. The Brussels Caesar salad can be GF without the croutons. I had the fish tacos and Brussels salad- both were really good. My tacos came out with a toothpick “allergy” label.
