After informing the waiter of my wheat allergy, I ordered a burger with gf bun and gf organic chicken fingers for my daughter. My burger came out with a bun that looked like a regular bun, and when I asked the person who brought it out if she was sure it is mine, she said it’s mine and “fine”. Unconvinced, I said, “so this is the burger with the wheat allergy?”She looked confused, retuned to the kitchen, and came back with a different plate with a clear gf bun. I then asked to speak to our waiter for confirmation that the gf chicken fingers were safe. She said she thought they might have wheat (after not mentioning this when we ordered!) and would check. She came back and told me that yes, they used to be gf but now they aren’t and they need to update the menu. Overall, a horrible experience and I do not consider this restaurant safe for anyone with food allergies.
Went for brunch. Several options on the menu. When I mentioned celiac, our server went to double check with the chef (who has celiac) to confirm what might be cross contaminated. Home fries are cc, but they can sub another side on those dishes. The guy who brought out my meal even referred to it as a celiac dish, so I know they took care to prepare it carefully.
Great food- lots of GF options and friendly staff. Adorable restaurant!
