Amazing chicken milanese sandwich!!! The breaded chicken tasted fantastic and was seasoned so well. Gluten free bread was great. The owner was nice enough to throw in some chicken noodle soup for me try and it was really good. The owners’ grandchild has Celiac and most things can be made gluten free. Super super good.

16 year old just diagnosed. We live about 5 miles away. So happy we found. Family is very understanding and explain all the ingredients and what they have. They make anything you want gluten free. No convection oven. They take good care of the cross contamination and were totally amazing people. And the food was really delicious. We had gf penne vodka. Taste amazing. No meat. Some dairy.

Had the GF pizza. Perfect. Small. Individual size. Perfect.

Thank you for your warmth and kindness. In this day and age. We all should start to be nicer people.

We. Any wait to come back. Thanks! Francine.

Great food, chicken parm sandwich anyone?!? It’s really good. Buffalo chicken strips perhaps?!? Really good! Pasta and sauce, really good as well. Her two grand kids are Celiac, need I say more? She knows what she’s doing and how to do it. Go eat, drink and rejoice.

I went to this place and there were sooo many available gluten free options example: gluten free rice balls, pizza, meatballs, breaded chicken, French fries and etc. This became our favorite place to eat! But it is very cramped because it is a small place so I wouldn’t sit and eat. ( also I never got sick this is coming from a person with severe celiac)

Basically everything you ever wanted to be gluten free Italian food is here and it actually taste delicious. The owners have celiac grandchildren and are VERY cautious with all their food preperation and cooking. They even have organic gluten free pasta! The bread is to die for if you choose to get a hero. Definitely try out the calamari as well. You really can't go wrong here

Love this place....always visit when travelling up North. Not sure why someone would post not gluten free when that is one of my main choices and River Edge never disappoints. A must try.

The food is excellent, the owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and the GF options are plentiful and delicious.

The owners are very understanding when it comes to food restrictions. They take preparing gluten free meals very seriously and they are completely aware of the severity of celiac disease. They even asked us right away if we were gluten free.

The menu clearly states what meals can be made GF and there's a great deal of GF options available. You don't have worry about cross contamination here!

I had the GF garlic bread and GF eggplant parm and they were both delicious!

10/10 would recommend!

I’ve been here twice. The owners have grandchildren who have celiac so they were very knowledgeable. The eggplant rollitini and the garlic bread are a MUST. The pizza was very good and it is the best Italian food I’ve had in the area. Very good!! (Just a heads up that the woman may seem a little snappy and odd. But I’ve always had good service by being polite & concise. It’s definitely worth the food!)

The BEST Italian food I’ve had. My family enjoyed the gluten free and gluten-filled food equally. I had a meatball parm hero, rice balls, and fried shrimp... what?!?!! So awesome! I even got another order to take home with me. I will absolutely be back. Owners were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to talk to.

This place is a shithole. I walked in as a new customer and asked if the food was safe for my celiac son. An old man behind the counter was so rude and nasty and was completely annoyed that I asked the question. I have a right to question the staff in a restaurant to make sure food I'm paying for is safe. Absolutely disgusting attitude and place looked dirty too.

When I have a functioning that I know will not have GF options available I always order from here to bring or have delivered. The GF shrimp parm dinner is my usual go to and if I'm in the mood for an appetizer I almost always get the GF rice balls. Soups are excellent too. Great staff and knowledgeable! I have celiac and have never once had an issue.

The service was absolutely awful!! My son has been GF for a year so needless to say I was very excited when I saw their menu specially since I'd heard great things about them. To my disappointment the woman (I assume the owner) was extremely extremely rude. I'm also not sure how they get high reviews for being Celiac friendly. She told me her 3 grandkids all have Celiac so of course I had high expectations. When we first walked in, she was eating from a pan even while we continued to stand at the counter. She proceeded to make the GF pizza without gloves nor washing her hands. She wiped her face with the side of her hand never washing her hands. I am greatly disappointed in the experience because I thought I had found a "safe" restaurant in the area. I will never ever go back there again. I never write reviews but the negative experience compelled me to write one. My true rating is 0 stars.

River Edge Pizza has been the BEST gluten-free find for my husband and I. We have been gluten free since 1999 when I was diagnosed with celiac disease. I am usually hesitant to try new places because of what we have been through over the years. My diet is one thing that I can control in my life and for my health. I had read an amazing review online and I wandered in to check it out. After talking with Francine and Robert, I felt so comfortable that I left with enough food to last us for a few days. It was AMAZING! We were hooked! We have loved everything that we’ve tried – the food is fabulous! There are so many gluten free options! Francine and Robert are so sweet, dedicated to their customers, careful with dietary needs, and really are just wonderful. Thank you, Francine & Robert. We LOVE River Edge Kitchen!!!

I have yet to find a place that is more "celiac-friendly" than this one. There are MANY gluten free options (in fact, almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free), and everything is made fresh and very carefully, and I know how dedicated they are to making their food GF safe and delicious.

The GF bread is especially awesome - well worth the trip just for that alone.

(I don't know what planet some of these complainers come from - maybe they went to some other place and left their reviews here by mistake?)

I wish all restaurants were as good at GF as they are - - -

The service was great; however, they don't make many gluten-free options other than the pizza and some super amazing rice balls. The pizza is way overpriced for the size. Might as well buy a frozen GF pizza from the supermarket.

I ordered in a few months ago and the woman who took my order was VERY rude. I am pretty sure she was the owner. She gave me an attitude when I asked her to make my order GF. I told her I was not going to order from her anymore because of her attitude--she had no problem with that and hung up abruptly The GF options are actually pretty good but I do not think I could ever stand to order from there again.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. I visited the restaurant for the first time today and I was traveling to the area for business and I was more than happy with my experience. I had the chicken parm sandwich and I am always worried that a lack of gluten will also mean a lack of taste but I could have sworn I was eating a 'normal' chicken parm. I also had the pleasure of chatting with Robert who made me feel more than comfortable eating there, I felt right at home and safe about the food I was eating. I live over an hour away but I will be back very soon. Also, I didn't have any reaction at all, safe for celiacs!

This review is purely based on a phone call to this establishment last week on Saturday 7/11. I simply asked to confirm what items/ingredients are put onto 2 sandwiches and the lady rudely stated something like, "I don't have time to go through our entire menu. We are very busy right now so feel free to come here to look at the menu." They must be doing very well if they talk to people like this so maybe their food is ok. Needless to say I will never order from them and I will make sure to spread the word about their rude service.

Bar non, the best gf Italian food outside of NYC. Fried calamari, meatballs, sandwiches, dinners, pizza, etc. It's a tiny pizzeria, nothing fancy, only 4 tables, food served in to go tins but it's so good. Try the tagliatelle... its like buttuh! The owners are very friendly and will bend over backwards to make your meal great.
