Cannot say enough good things! I got the soup dumplings, peaking duck, and gyoza to share with a friend and they were all amazing! It tasted exactly like the ones I've had before my diagnosis. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I have recently been glutened at Dennys, came to Riz and ordered soup to soothe my aching stomach. The chicken noodle soup with ramen and hot and sour soup did the trick while feeding my soul. Will definitely be back.

Riz provided me with the opportunity to not have to worry ahead of time what I could safely eat which is what I have to do any time I ever go out to eat. Everything was gluten free and absolutely delicious! It’s been since adolescence that I’ve been able to enjoy a spring roll, dim sum, and Chinese food in general. Terry, the owner, is passionate about being able to offer celiac and gluten intolerant friendly meals so that everyone is included. We will be back Sunday for their ramen, which sells out fast, but Terry is kind enough to save us two servings before our trek back to Atlanta. If only they were also located back in the States we’d be there all the time. But we’d definitely make the trip back to Toronto to satisfy our dim sum ramen fix. Thank you Riz for a wonderful gluten free safe experience. 10 stars!

I recently visited Riz at their new location. I hadn’t been to Riz since before COVID. I had visited their other location at least 6 times before 2020. While it is wonderful to have a fully GF Asian restaurant because there are so many things on the menu I cannot usually get GF, I must say the quality is not what I remembered from their old restaurant. Still good just not as good as it used to be. I believe they’re under new management at the new location.

This is a dedicated gluten free restaurant. The owner came to the table a few times. He was very knowledgeable about gluten free/ celiac. We ordered the crispy beef and the Thai mango chicken. Both were very good. No worries here for those with gluten issues or celiac. They also have frozen meals available, check their website for details. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this place. The only place where I can dine and be 100% sure of safety (in terms of gluten), taste and quality. I've ordered online multiple times, and dined in twice. The owner is diligent and happy to share information and answer questions. I had their new xiao long bao (soup dumplings) yesterday and I'm in love with them. I absolutely recommend this place!

This restaurant is a revelation. Dedicated gluten-free and I was able to have soup dumplings just as I remembered - even better!! I’m not sure how the owner does it, but to perfect the chewiness of a dumpling, the light airy perfection of a chocolate eclair with an incredible filling, and the skin on that duck - me and my partner felt like it was a dream!

Beyond highly recommend this restaurant. Make a reservation - it gets busy, but not in a crowded way, if that make sense.

What a wonderful experience! My heart (and my mouth, and my belly, and every inch of my GI system) is so happy right now! We tried the gyoza, the peanut dumplings, the Peking duck, & the crispy beef, and everything was spectacular. We were so full, we had to take dessert to go. But we ordered five more dishes for pickup tomorrow on our way out of town. The lovely staff helped us pick items they could prepare and then freeze overnight for us, so we can pack them in the cooler to put in the freezer at home. It’s a three hour drive for us, and I will happily plan whole trips to Toronto, just to come to Riz again and again!

The staff/management was incredibly rude when I called to ask about additional allergens a family member has. Less than 30 seconds into the conversation, the person told me "If you're that concerned, try another restaurant."

This does not show compassion. It does not show kindness. It does not show community care.

I liked the food but it was just okay… the meat was a bit overdone and hard to chew. The dumplings and spring rolls were fantastic! The cold mango spring roll left something to be desired. It was very small without much filling. The food was quite costly with smaller portions. However, I did love the fact that I could get anything I wanted and didn’t have to worry about getting sick! I’m not sure I would go back. I think Bean Sprout has better value and quality.

Absolutely delicious!!! We are a highly sensitive Celiac family and Riz is one of our favourites. It never disappoints. Food is wonderful, staff is great and it is a cozy spot. We have enjoyed eating at the restaurant many times at both the old and new locations. On this occasion we ordered a large takeout order to feed several at our Family Day weekend gathering. The food was wonderful! It is so nice to enjoy delicious food that is safe for us but can also be enjoyed by others in our family who do not require the gluten restrictions. Everyone was raving about the distinctive flavours of each dish and the crispy crunch of the egg rolls and spring rolls. It is impossible to pick a favourite dish as they are all so good! We will of course be back and Riz is now our non celiac family members’ favourite Asian restaurant too!

I haven’t gotten to eat Chinese food in 20 years. 20. years. I’m so sad that I don’t even live in Toronto bc if I did I’d be trekking over to Riz… all the time. Everything is celiac safe (the plates even say gluten free lol). I’m sure whatever you order is going to be as drool worthy as what we had- gyoza (dumplings!!!!), spring rolls, crispy beef, general tsos, and mango salad. I actually got to meet another celiac- shout out to Shine if you see this- who was SO friendly and shared her order of Peking duck with pancakes bc she knew I had to try them. Definetly returning if we are ever back in Toronto.

The food is absolutely incredible! Often gluten free food lacks quality and doesn't really tasting like what you order due to substitutions, however, that is NOT the case at all; the quality was outstanding and the flavor and texture was incredible. This is the best gluten free food I've had in years and hands down the best gluten free dinning experience I've ever had. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she is equally incredible - super friendly, passionate, and cares about the celiac community. She even gifted me a few plates to bring home. This place is simply some of the best Chinese food we've ever had! Not only do you feel safe and comfortable eating here but the food is delicious. There are no issues of potential contamination as its all gluten-free. The servers are also very aware about food allergies and take their time with you. I've had dreams about the chicken spring rolls and crispy beef for days after eating here.

First time back to Toronto in five years and we very much missed the gluten free dim sum at Riz. While we felt very safe eating here in the past, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the entire menu is now gluten free. We were also delighted to see Peking Duck on the menu - what an amazing treat! Terry was an incredibly gracious host as always and we hope/wish there can be a NYC outpost someday!

Sooooo good and a ton of variety! We were traveling in Toronto and we had to go back each day to try more new things!

The server and owner were very nice and took care to explain that absolutely everything was gluten and dairy free! The new location is very cozy with super fast service from the kitchen.

Very friendly and kind service excellent flavours and great traditional Canadian Chinese food. We had the Peking duck, chicken spring rolls, shrimp tempura, chicken with cashews and spare ribs. Everyone left stuffed and happy and I don’t have to worry about being sick! Service was a bit slow but there was only one server for the whole place on a Sunday. Great for dairy free too! The server was knowledgeable about other allergies too and clarifies the difference between soy allergy and tofu for the group.

This place was fantastic! I have celiacs disease and it is so rare to find a 100% gluten free restaurant. I loved being able to walk in and not worry about cross contamination. My friend, who doesn’t have celiac, enjoyed the expansive menu. I will definitely go back next time I’m in Toronto! The food was excellent!

If you want the BEST gluten-free food, top tier service, amazing atmosphere - Riz is the place to be. This restaurant is 100% gluten free with options for dairy free as well. We got hot n sour soup, chicken wonton soup, gyoza, chicken pad Thai, and Szechuan chicken and the food was so good we ordered the honey BBQ fried rice + another round of gyoza to go 😅. I am not kidding when I say this place is phenomenal. Being celiac, these kinds of foods are some I'd never thought I could enjoy anymore - this place is celiac safe and DELICIOUS. Our server Mary was so kind! And she recommended some of their desserts - which we had to try. Also phenomenal!! 10000/10 would recommend and will absolutely be back soon. Thank you to Mary and the Riz team for creating such a delicious option for celiacs & the gluten free community. You truly are the best !!

Food was fabulous! The General Tsao chicken was crispy and flavourful, and the "very popular" crispy beef was delicious and perfectly cooked. There were so many menu items I felt spoiled for choice.
