Good food with plenty of gf options, but I’m not sure about cross-contamination. I am just gluten intolerant, not celiacs, so I had no problems.

Staff was very educated and knew exactly what was GF and what wasn’t and how to alter an entree to make it GF. We were inside because we didn’t know about the patio. The patio is So Nice. Call ahead for reservations if you can but the food is very special and still worth the trip if your in the area. Fresh, loaded with flavor and textures…must try it!

Stopped in due to all the reviews and when talking to the waiter, all gf items are cooked and/or prepared with the non gluten free. We left.

The waiter was very knowledgeable about GF options, what to stay away from, and what could be made GF. I still did get a little sick later but the food was outstanding.

Great South American cuisine. Not sure why folks rated it poorly, the GF options were plentiful and the waiter went and asked the cook staff when she didn’t know. My wife is celiac and had no issues. Many options are safe and of course delicious.

My waitress had no knowledge of what gluten free even means. She went and asked and came back with minimal vague answers. She said "everything can be gluten free".
So I ordered the guacamole tostada and was immediately told no, that can't be. So I ordered the lulu's enchiladas. The waitress came back a couple of minutes later telling me I can have the tostadas. So I had the tostadas.
I didn't get sick but the food wasn't outstanding. The rest of my family did not care for their food. The sour cream enchilada sauce and queso had a chalky texture. They rang my husband's meal in wrong. It was just a not great experience.

The GF reviews for this place were amazing, so we went expecting all the staff members to know exactly what GF was or to have GF marked on the menu. The food was great, but there wasn’t any info on the menu. Also, when we asked if the meal we wanted was GF or could be done GF the waiter said he didn’t know and would have to ask. He never came back, so we assumed it was fine and ate it. Didn’t get sick!

Great experience here! The waitress was able to answer all questions about preparation procedures and pointed out all the gluten free options on the menu, of which there was quite a few. The chips are safe because they are fried separately. As earlier reviews pointed out, the chicken is not safe because of the marinade but the pork is good. Highly recommend!!

The salsa & chips are GF! Ask your waiter for a GF menu and it will show you how to make each item GF. I read a previous review that someone got sick after having the chicken fajitas, but the chicken is marked off on GF items because it is not GF. The pork quesadilla was absolutely amazing. Atmosphere of the place was lacking because there was no music playing! But otherwise, we had a great experience! The guacamole was also delicious!

Gluten free options available for any of the dishes they serve. I am gluten-sensitive so I cannot speak for those with more serious gluten allergies but gluten-sensitive was great! Enchiladas were fantastic! Would definitely come back again!
Enchiladas were great!

Great staff that knows what gluten free means. The food was excellent. My family will definitely eat Rolandos again.

Staff was knowledgeable about which items were gluten free. I also have soy intolerance and they do not use soy so this was a win win. The food was delish and I had no reaction. Just ask lots of questions so you know which items to try.
Had the chicken fajitas- delicious but got very sick after. Not sure it was gluten free.

So good! IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS. They have so many options. Best shrimp quesadillas I've ever had! They won awards for their gluten free friendliness. Amazing place. Sit on the patio for a gorgeous view.

Absolutely beautiful rooftop patio and a plentiful gluten-free options! The waiter was very helpful in helping me select a meal. The best part of this experience was the food! So delicious. This place is a must!
I went in expecting Mexican food. This is definitely not Mexican food (at least not what I’m used to in Texas). I believe it’s Latin food??? What I had was good though. The queso is more like fondue- melted cheese, not the creamy stuff you dip your chip in. Again it was good, just not what I’m used to. The taquitos were a quesadilla on corn tortillas. I enjoyed my meal very much, it just wasn’t what I expected. There also were not as many choices as I anticipated going in according to the reviews. The chicken has gluten in it. Very knowledgeable waiter. Great service.
Food was very good. Our server seemed very knowledgeable about GF. If she was not sure about something, she went ahead and found out for us. Our son is asymptomatic celiac so we can’t be 100% sure how they do with cross contamination though...
Food is great, lots of options.

I was not at all impressed with the food, the service, or the atmosphere. My husband (not GF) & I stopped in for an early dinner on a weeknight, and I ordered Pescado de Mesias (Grilled Tilapia). The tilapia fillets were more fried than grilled, but otherwise unseasoned, and the white rice and black beans were bland. Salsa with corn & black beans was the best part of the meal although it tasted better eaten with a spoon than on the gluten free chips!
The waiter said the chicken had a bread coating; the only other protein choice was pulled pork.
Tons of options and the food was great. I got the guacamole tostada and was very satisfied!!

We ate here twice over our weekend trip to Hot Springs. They can make pretty much anything on the menu gluten free, but if you're really strict and worried about cross contamination, it's better to stay away from the chicken, which leaves you with around 3 options. I had the pork Cuban plate, which was much, much better than I expected (it wasn't just big blobs of pork, rice, and beans). It was plated beautifully, and it came with guacamole, sour cream, a little cheese and some fresh marinated veggies for a little brightness, and was not at all heavy or greasy. I went back and took friends the next day.

It was nice to go to a restaurant that has several GF options. Good was good.

Cannot understand perfect ratings that sent us here...overpriced, really greasy, etc. Not exactly worth an $80 family dinner! I'd take a drive out of town for something better!
Yes
Excellent food and very celiac friendly 😄 Chips and salsa are GF and nearly every dish can be made gluten free. I ordered the enchiladas and they were the BEST I've ever had! Big dishes and VERY good!

The staff is very knowledgeable about Gluten free menu options. The restaurant was named Best Gluten Free Restaurant in Hot Springs by Arkansas Times. Excellent Latin American food.
