Although they offer gluten free pasta, only one of their sauces were guaranteed to be gluten free. The waitress was not knowledgeable and I had to leave and go somewhere else.
No
I have eaten here a dozen times and they have decent gluten free pasta. I think its better in the restaurant, especially in dishes where cheese is put on top and the pasta is put under the broiler to melt it. That extra step seems to improve the texture of the pasta. After I realized that, I started doing it at home, too.
I have had one bad experience. In celebration of Friday, I called in an order of Create Your Own Pasta. I ate a good portion of it while driving back to work. Once I parked, I saw that there was a regular spaghetti noodles snaked through the bottom of the bowl. Of course, I was horrified and called the manager. He sounded mortified. He said he would reeducate the chef. He also talked me into coming back after work. They refunded all of my money (including tip) and remade my pasta. He said they were also reviewing all the gluten free procedures with all of the staff. I haven't had any issues since, but I feel more comfortable going in to eat.
I have had experiences where I didn't get glutened, but still chose not to go back because of the attitude of the staff when asked about gluten free options. I continued to eat here because of the way the management reacted and responded when there was an issue. The manager knew that it was a big deal.
Yes
The food was great, the staff was knowledgeable about what food was gluten free (all penne). They were very accommodating. The gluten free pasta serving size is 1/4 the size of the normal pasta serving size for the same price.

Unfortunately they were out of gluten free pasta and other options are very limited especially for a picky eater who just wanted Mac and cheese.

Currently they do not have GF pasta options. However staff were knowledgeable about GF & cross contamination. The caesar salad w/out croutons, with chicken or shrimp is very good. Grilled salmon with side of spinach instead or orzo a good option as well. The service was excellent.

As of 7/21/22, they did not have gluten free pasta as an option. Although the macaroni grill website appears to show gluten free pasta available, this location said they didn’t have any and offered no explanation.

Their menu has zero gluten free substitutes/options. I asked our server for gluten free options and she ended up bringing me an allergy menu after we asked multiple times. When I ordered my dish she just seemed very bothered by the fact that I had an allergy and she had to deal with it. Granted I know it’s a pasta establishment but still. I ended up ordering the create your own pasta with the pomodorino sauce, their gluten free pasta, and some chicken and spinach. It was pretty good, it’s just the service and attitude that was subpar.
