They have an allergy "menu" which is a printed spreadsheet with 12 different allergens listed with x to indicate if menu items contains specific allergen. There are not many gluten free options, mostly salads. Many salad dressings contained gluten. They do not have a dedicated frier, so beware of cross contamination. I'm cautious if their gf listings as beef and barley soup was listed as gluten free. Several gf options indicated salads, chili, and grilled chicken fingers. Several sauces were gf.
Waiter had to ask the manager if allergy menus existed. She was not knowledgeable about kitchen practices but was quick to find out answers. She was friendly, polite and quick despite being very busy.
I got the grilled chicken salad which tasted fine. Due to a lack of options, roosters will not be a place I frequent.
They claim they have a gluten free menu but it's not a menu. It's more like a document that says they offer many gluten-free items. But in-fact, they really don't because there are a lot of disclaimers, like ""All of our sauces are made in house and are gluten free. Just to be safe, stay away from the Teriyaki, Caroline Gold, and Sweet Thai Chili sauces though. They contain a packaged ingredient that may or may not contain gluten". Then, in another spot, it says "our dressings should all be free of gluten. To be safe, stay away from the Ranch Dressing. It may have a gluten additive". It also suggests one can order "Naked Wings" but immediately afterwards says they are cooked in the same oil as gluten-containing menu items. So, really, there is nothing they can assure you is gluten-free.
Worse, my waitress was clueless. OK, I understand not everyone can be up to speed on what is gluten-free so I asked her to check with the manager. I was told I could get a salad but they would hold the cheese for me and would not put any oil on it. Really??? Clearly, neither she nor her manager had a clue. So when the salad came, it had no cheese but a good dose of croutons.
I also ordered a grilled chicken breast. While it was quite tasty, it had some seasoning on it that I have no idea what it was....nor did the waitress.
There were no sides (according to my waitress) that were gluten-free so it was a pretty boring meal.
My advice is if you need to be Gluten-free, avoid Roosters.
They have a gluten free menu. Can get naked wings, several choices of sauces. They have about 3 gluten free salad dressings. Can also get some sandwiches. May not be safe for celiacs, due to cross contamination.

We overall had a good experience but there are very limited options. My son had grilled chicken tenders and tater tot’s. Staff baked the tater tots to eliminate cross contamination from the fryer. The staff seemed knowledgeable and our waiter followed up with questions and was honest about the fryer. Only downside is not many options. My son didn’t love the grilled tenders. He had no reaction afterwards and is symptomatic celiac. Would go again if that was the only option.
I am visiting from out of town. I decided to try this place out. They do have a gluten free menu and the server as very friendly and understanding. They do not have a dedicated fryer so there is that risk but there are options and if you are willing to put the work in you can enjoy a good meal.
Their gluten-free options are extremely limited. It's basically just salads and grilled chicken that are safe but they do have a lot of sauces and salad dressing that are gluten-free.
They do have a gluten-free menu but it's more for someone with a gluten intolerance. When they mean "gluten-free" they just mean that the main ingredients don't include gluten but they don't factor in cross-contamination so you definitely have to double check with your server. Their tator tots don't have gluten in them but they're fried in the same frier as everything else so they're definitely not safe.
I always get the grilled chicken cesar salad with no croutons and cajan seasoning on the chicken. I make sure to tell them that I have celiacs and so far I haven't had any issues with cross-contamination.
After reading the previous review and passing through Washington Ohio. Decided to hive this place a chance. Had the same salad as there is not much else on the menu that is safe for celiac. The waitress was wonderful and got me the allergy chart. And after going over it landed on the salad previously mentioned. It was very tasty. So when in Washington Ohio and you feel peckish don't hesitate to enjoy a grilled chicken salad.
I got the half order of grilled chicken and a half salad all gluten free and was delicious
