Was told the fryer is shared and NOT GF. Otherwise it was great food! Had the turkey sandwich and subbed the fries for chips. 2 of 3 dessert options are GF as well!
Amazing gf options, sit down restaurant with biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles. Really excellent service to GF people. I have celiac and had no problems after biscuits and gravy.
Came over from a different Concourse on my way into Denver and my way out to eat here. Both waitresses have me different explanations so was confused about safety. Talked to the manager who stopped by my table and she explained food prep and made me feel better. So incredible to have quality GF food in the airport.
INCREDIBLE!The food was delicious and almost their whole menu is naturally gf or can be made gf. I have celiac and felt great after eating. Had the gf biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and since I have a long layover plan to come back in a few hours for the gf chicken & waffles!!!
Always love coming to this place. So many options, strong appreciation for food allergies, and good restaurant design. I come here on every Denver layover.
SO MANY OPTIONS!!!!! Almost everything on their menu can be made gluten free!
Wow. This place was phenomenal. Completely knowledgeable and safe wait staff. The GF biscuits and gravy were out of this world, as were the salads. I wish this restaurant was in our hometown. We would be regulars. Kids loved their food too.
Awesome food and a huge selection of gluten free items marked on the menu! They have a separate fryer so no cross-contamination, and both times I've been here the food has been delicious. Crispy french fries, delicious burgers, and an absolutely incredible cheesesteak sandwich. Cider and gluten free beer is available as well. A must have when in terminal C!
Celiac friendly- nearly everything on the menu can be made gluten free and without cross-contamination if you tell them you have celiac disease. And they have BEER. 😍
Fantastic food and a wide selection of both gluten free and vegan options. Even had great service, I’d recommend if your traveling through Denver to make the time to stop here.
Tons of gf options (chicken and waffles, sweet potato fries, burgers, salads). Also fresh local "real" food in an airport, and really friendly service. Looking forward to future Denver layovers because the food is that good.
Very tasty food, outstanding for an airport. This last time we came to the airport early so we could eat here before our flight. Yum.
Had GF chicken and waffles- awesome for an airport!
GF CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!! Whaat?! stopped in at En Root, the To Go section of the restaurant, and they have an incredible gf menu ready to go in less than ten minutes! Didn’t even flinch when I mentioned Celiac. Amazing!
i would come here again. they made it to Gate C area, which services southwest flights. you might need to wait to be seated, but friendly staff. lots of food options. share your celiac concerns to your server, and they can make it celiac safe
The staff was friendly and nice, and there are so many gluten free choices. I had the breakfast tacos and they were amazing. Our server seemed to know which items were gluten free and what would be modified, if anything.
Almost everything on menu can be prepared gluten free. GF beers (yuck) and ciders. Bun on burger so good I asked two people to confirm it was GF. If this place was near my home, rather than past security at airport, I’d still go!
Had their cheese steak sandwich on GF bun and sweet potato fries. Have had no problems.
Was here a year or two ago and had a great experience. However I ordered the crispy chicken tacos from the gf list and despite assurances of good practices from my waitress and my plate even having an allergy flag on my plate, I still got glutened. Not a good experience prior to a 3 hour flight.
Glad to find this great option during a layover. I often have to grab a Kind bar in airports as my options are limited. This restaurant had so many GF options including things I never get to have like Chicken and waffles! Had a lovely beet salad and chicken and waffles. All great. With great service. Except for the airplanes I see out the window, I forgot I was at an airport.
No matter what concourse you leave out of take the train to Concourse C and eat here.
Went here in between flights based on reviews that it was safe for celiac's. I made very clear that I'm a celiac to the host and waitress. Waitress assured me my food would be safe. When the food arrived it was very obvious that it was NOT gluten free. When we asked to see the waitress she immediately said Oh No that's NOT gluten free and swept my plate away. Thank goodness I knew to look and check before just starting eating otherwise I would have been in Serious trouble.
I had the almond buttermilk pancakes, they were okay, but I got a stomach ache shortly after and haven't felt well since so I think there might have been some cross contamination. I did confirm they were gf, but maybe some surfaces are shared in the kitchen.
It's hard to find good GF food in the airport, but Root Down has plenty of breakfast options. My breakfast was delicious, I was served quickly, and my server (Donald) was friendly and helpful with the menu. This is my new favorite place to eat at DIA!!
Was looking forward to a healthy gluten free vegetarian restaurant. The edamame is absolutely delicious. However my husband's medium-rare Burger came well done and the burrata salad was terrible. Absolutely no flavor with any of the vegetables in it. Very disappointed! Especially when we received a $58 bill
Finally! An almost all gluten free restaurant in the C concourse at DEN airport! I had the GF Steel cut oatmeal with mango purée/almonds and it amazing! I can't wait to eat there on my next layover. So many mouth watering options.
I love this place. Actually came to the airport early just so I could spend time here. The bartender asks if you have any food allergies as you're placing your order. What restaurant does that?! Last time I had a drink and some sweet potato waffle fries (dedicated fryer), this time I'm having GF pancakes. Not because I need them, but because they're on the menu. I wish there were more places like this!
Best airport food options. Really hard to decide. Tacos, pancakes, croissants... Great vibe, excellent staff.
The best airport breakfast you can get! I got the gf egg sandwich and it had a delicious side of arugula and beautiful, colorful roasted potatoes. Yum!
Excellent gf food. Knowledgeable staff. My daughter had the grilled cheese, not your ordinary cheese sandwich and I had the turkey burger on a great gf bun.
Gluten Free quiche !!! it was great! lovely staff, airport prices so don't be surprised about the cost, but easily the best airport food I've had in the US!
Great food. Fries in separate fryer. Great gluten free buns.
Delicious, unique, and worth the price! We had the griddled cheese, Short rib tacos, and the banana creme brulee pie. My only complaint was the orange sauce with the dessert, it really took away from the delicious flavors, maybe try it on the side. Other than that it was AWESOME!!
Now in the C terminal. Pancakes are amazing!! Benedict was great. Can't wait to come back.
So yummy! Their menu has several items noted as Gf. The server confirmed they have a dedicated fryer for Gf foods. Yummy fries! Even had gf dessert for the kiddos (chocolate pudding). Great spot!! Located in Terminal C in the middle of the concourse.
Great food, good gf beer selection, and knowledgeable staff. just wish I didn't have to go to the airport to eat there. hopefully they will expand off airport...
Amazing! Was able to sit down and have a delicious GF meal - lamb sliders on GF mini buns with a GF yogurt mint sauce that was to die for! And waffle sweet potato fries! Very knowledgeable staff and well marked GF items (though you must alert them that you are GF so they make appropriate accommodations). Will Hope to have future layovers here!
I had a burger gluten free bun and it was absolutely delicious. very knowledgeable about gluten free. also, a very unique cute place to eat
Always great! Many GF options to choose from.
Their grilled cheese (southwestern style- a bit like arepas) was fantastic. Many items are marked GF on menu. But their almond pancakes are my FAVORITE. Traveler tip: they color code you based on how much time you have to eat, which is really helpful! Also love the "solo" tables made for using your laptop or tablet.
They have tons of gluten free options and already available items, and are truly accommodating to other allergies as well. Tons of fun and good looking options that make delayed flights a fun time :).
Staff super friendly and very knowledgeable about cross contamination. We ate in the Denver airport location.
Great food, great ambiance (and in the airport!), totally aware of celiac issues.
columbian griddled cheese is excellent, with an Omission lager. Wait person, Rachel was terrific.
Excellent. Many GF options, noted on the menu, and knowledgeable staff. This was a delightful find during a layover at DEN. The lamb sliders and sweet-potato waffle fries were delicious, as was the side salad.
such excellent gf good. great bloody Mary, awesome pancakes.
Great options and super yummy! Everything is clearly labeled and the girl at the counter was very clear in verifying I wanted g-free. There is a sit down and take out location, you can get the full menu at takeout.
We loved root down during our long layover. Their food was amazing, especially the squash brussle sprout salad.
NOT in fact gluten free & I am paying now!
It is a five star offering that happens to be gluten free. The flavors are wonderful. The textures are nice. The decor and atmosphere create an oasis that allows you to forget your travel or business worries.....just don't forget your boarding time. The staff is awesome. The speed is suprising. The only thing that could be better would be for more of them to exist.
