I really liked my dinner I had here. There were lots of GF options marked on the menu. I ended up getting the seafood Cobb salad with a side of their island rice. Loved the atmosphere as well. On the bay, corn hole games, fire pit lounge area, tiki bar and playground for kids!

Yum! Third time eating here and it was very good. This time I had the Deadliest Steam Pot and it was very good. The options are marked GF. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their dinner (gf and non gf).

GF items are marked on the menu, good amount of options !! There isn’t really any GF appetizers which can be kinda frustrating when everyone else is ordering them and sharing :/ But the selection for entrees is really nice! There’s a lot of different options that are seafood, not seafood, and some rice bowls as well. I got the Deadliest Catch Steam Pot (shrimp, crab legs, potatoes, corn, and sausage). Great portion and super delicious!

We had a great time here! Lovely views of the bay, playground for kids to enjoy while you wait. I had the bayou steam pot, with crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage, served with butter and cocktail sauce, all GF. Items on the menu that are GF are clearly marked. There are a good number of options. Would definitely come here again!

Waitress was very knowledgeable and concerned for my diet restrictions. She advised me well on some things that were cross contaminated, so I could be certain to order correctly. It was getting warm ,so they turned on air for me. Waitress was very attentive and all our meals were very good. I highly recommend! I loved that all food on menu was labeled if it was GF. I didn't get sick and my belly was very full. I ordered salmon, island rice and mashed potatoes.

Had great service and the waitress was knowledgeable of GF. I had the Maryland Crab soup, a cider and the tuna poke bowl. Unfortunately, i reacted before even leaving. Something was contaminated. Not sure I can say the kitchen is safe

Decent gluten-free menu. Nice location on the Bayside and service was good. Enjoyed the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes, but watch out for the green beans. It turns out that they flash fry them in the deep fat fryer where they cook breaded items. The waiter informed me that they would’ve been happy to make a substitution for the green beans if I had only thought to ask. Personally, I’ve never had deep-fried, unbreaded green beans before so it never crossed my mind to ask how they are prepared. The ribs were delicious.

I told the waitress I needed my food to be gluten free and what I had selected from their gluten friendly menu items. She immediately told me the vegetable of the day would be contaminated and not work for me. My food was absolutely delicious. I had filet mignon with mashed potatoes. No illness. Best food I have had in this town!

Had an amazing experience here. So far the best GF menu items I have found in the area. I got the crawfish steamer for an app then swordfish entree for dinner. Both so yummy! The waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free. The menu has a no wheat symbol next to each item so they are marked and easy to find! This place takes allergies seriously!

If you are sensitive to cross contamination, do not eat here. My waiter asked the kitchen twice if they could wipe down the grill and they said no. I ordered the house salad and still felt sick after eating.

Great experience here two nights ago! The waitress was very informed and told me what sides were and were not GF. When the food came out, I noticed there was a little rice on my plate (I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and cole slaw) and she ran back to the kitchen to see if the rice was GF (which it was). I was here on vacation but would eat here again for the food, the view, and atmosphere too!

Wonderful place. Waitress was very knowledgeable about celiac. We ate there twice in a week and I had no reaction. The owners 2 daughters have peanut allergies so they are very knowledgeable and serious about allergies. There's a lot of gf options. Food was very tasty. Very kid friendly as there is a playground at the restaurant.

The atmosphere is so much fun! The salmon dish was gluten free and dairy free. The fish was a little overcooked, but it was tasty. No reaction, so the food was safe. The views for outdoor dining were fantastic. FYI- Thursday night steamer pots are half price! Bonus.

This was a great place to eat, even during COVID. Our server was very knowledgeable on what I could eat. The ambiance was wonderful, got to view a Beautiful sunset over the bay.

Menu was clearly marked with gluten free options and the waiter also checked with the kitchen for me to confirm which items I could/could not have. I got a house salad and the jerk chicken. I also got a grapefruit crush because the vodka was gf as well. I have celiac and did not have any issues. Great place for families!
Yes
Staff not very knowledgeable. Mainly entree items were noted as gluten free. Inside area very noisy , outside seating was very scenic. My entree was very good and well prepared. but some of my family were not as happy with their non gluten free meals. Fun games for children there .
Very good food. Menu mislabeled so be cautious. Didn't get sick.
amazing! the gluten free selection was great, the prices were great, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I had zero issues there or after we ate. when we visit again, we will be stopping here.

Server had no clue what "Gluten Free" was and thought we were asking for something free for our child to eat. We asked for a manager to clarify what was gluten free besides the seafood and salad labeled as such in the menu. We asked if they could make the GF chicken wings in a child's portion instead of the kids meal options. He said they couldn't do that but would give us a discount on the wings, but advised us the wings were made in a shared fryer and definitely not gluten free as stated and labeled on the menu. Ended up with a plain chicken breast from a sandwich (minus the bread) and corn for $16 for an 8 year old. Do not recommend this place for GF or for dining in general (overpriced and service was lacking).
No
Well trained staff, no cc. Only 4/5 because not many options for GF when you don't eat seafood. Wings were fabulous!

Went in, asked about brunch items and the waitress was great about clarifying with kitchen staff that the omelette was safe but the potatoes get fried with gluten. So she gave me extra fruit. Happy to find another safe place at the beach!!

Another safe and delicious meal from Ropewalk with dedicated assistance from Manager Tammy! Ropewalk is our must visit restaurant each trip to OC! My 5 y/o feels like a queen! They can always accommodate our allergies and large groups (always one, two or three families of 4). Everyone raves about the food! B/c my daughter loves their burgers, I go prepared with a gluten, soy and egg free bun. They provide the rest. She orders sides from a selection (i.e. green beans, applesauce, corn on the cob). Tammy always comes prepared with options empowering her to "order" what she would like. For a tiny little thing, my daughter ate almost her entire burger (a lot)! She also enjoyed sweet yellow corn (bringing home the extra).
My mom, nut and SEAFOOD allergic, was concerned but Tammy also provided her with safe options. She was deliberately seated away from the crowd on the end as she can react to the smell of shellfish and the outdoor setting reduced her exposure thus allowing her to go with the entire family for the 1st time in years. She enjoyed fried green tomatoes in a special fryer (not the same oil). She's not a big eater. After dinner, my daughter LOVED the safe soft serve ice cream (dairy free too). Have to admit, my husband and I shared what was left of her treat and it was among the best we had eaten.
As this visit was early in the summer, staff was still being trained and the wait staff seemed "overwhelmed" by the allergies and large party but immediately Tammy and Cody took charge and ensured all was coordinated and appropriately taken care of! Even given a chance out of courtesy to meet the owner...a special treat for a fellow food allergy parent!
Super excited to learn of three more locations opening up in the very near future with the same level of staff training/awareness of allergy food prep & serve protocols! As 11 of our extended family members drove with us (4) from Bethany Beach DE to eat at this restaurant b/c it is always "safe" for our daughter, I am thrilled next year we will be able to enjoy their new Bethany location! Everyone left full and the kids had a chance to play on the fun playground, take home Frisbees and they always give my daughter a special gift -- a beautiful t shirt with their logo.
Can't thank everyone, particularly Tammy, enough! We'll be bringing new crowds with us at different times throughout the summer

Very disappointed with this restaurant. It advertised several gluten free options including wings which I was very excited about. When I arrived and ordered the wings they said this could not be done because they are "gluten friendly" which means that they come in contact with other gluten items. With that being said all of their "gluten free items" are "gluten friendly". So I ordered the filet mignon which came with vegetables. Again I was told that I could order the filet but that the sides would not be safe and the only option for a side would be either applesauce or coleslaw. This is definitely not celiac friendly and the staff was not accommodating which is unfortunate because it is a very nice setting. Be ware of these false advertisements in the future. Never had an experience like this before.

The regular menu has the No Wheat symbol next to all the GF options. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. This is a great choice and you don't have to ask for a special menu
