love the guac made at the table. I had the carnitas. it was delicious.
AMAZING FOOD!! so delicious and the staff is very knowledgeable about gf options and willing to help
Great food, great service, great for kids. Gluten free menu available with tons of options.
Labeled GF options AMAZING DELICIOUS Food!!!
Ate at Rosa's last night. Food was really good and almost everything was gluten free. Highly recommend!
They have a dedicated GF menu, the chips are safe and the guacamole is made fresh, delicious! Staff well informed about cross contamination and very helpful, strongly recommended if you really need GF safe food if celiac.
they have a glutenfree menu. very much to choose from. knolidgeable waiter. Food tasted very nice. If you like real mexican food I can recommend this place.
So tasty and so much food! The guac is freshly made. Would highly recommend it.
I ordered the carnitas - no problems. Separate gf menu. Would definitely seek out this restaurant in the future!
GF menu, great food, chips are safe. The map pin is wrong, it's actually on Lincoln and Alton.
Awesome Carnitas! Great service and very aware of GF.
The food is delicious but I always get very sick after. : (. I am very sensitive but I think they have a cross contamination issue.
Rosa Mexicano has delicious food and attentive servers. There is a separate gluten free menu with many choices. I compared the two menus and the majority of the dishes are already gluten free. The guacamole is amazing!
Rosa Mexicano has a separate gluten free menu but virtually everything on their menu is naturally gf. The food and service were great.
Waiter was friendly. Had a GF menu. The waiter kinda knew things about the GF menu but gave us the disclaimer "we are not sure so eat/drink at your own risk." They had Corona on their GF menu. Did some research and found Corona has trace amounts of gluten and is not purely gluten free, but it meets certain criteria to be considered gluten free even though its not. Read comments from other franchises and found they may not use a GF cook/prep area. Did not specifically ask our waiter about that.
Food was really great. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and dealing with food allergies and was more than willing to work with us!
Delicious! Clearly marked GF menu with vegetarian options. The chips were safe to eat. ordered carnitas with grilled spiced pineapple, onion, and cilantro, corn tortillas. large portion served with beans, rice, chips and salsa. Any questions were easily answered by the manager who explained his girlfriend is celiac.
very specifically asked if the tortilla chips (listed as gluten free on the menu) were fried with other items. Was very clearly told no, it's 100% safe, by the server but here I am with hives and a migraine.
Awesome. i left feeling ill because of how much I ate. . It was all too good! The mild guacamole, made at the table, was perfect. . Our son had GF taquitos. . He loved the guacamole, rice, and beans. We went back to DC this year and had enchiladas and what the manager referred to as Mexican lasagna (chicken, corn tortillas, and cheese layers). Stuffed ourselves again. Only complaint is that there isn't one in our home town.
I had a really great experience here. There's a dedicated GF menu with lots of options. I ordered the suizas enchiladas with a glass of sangria and it was delicious. My husband (who can eat all the gluten!) wasn't impressed with his chicken nachos that were a little burnt but he really liked what I ordered. It was a little pricier than what we planned to spend on vacation for lunch but it was definitely worth it for the peace of mind and tasty Mexican food.
When I see fish tacos on a gluten free menu, I get VERY excited. What I got was very sad. The fish was completely unseasoned. Absolutely nothing on it. As the waitress put my dish down she said, oh the sauce isn't gluten free. There was no mention of this beforehand. The guacamole is phenomenal though.
Guacamole & chips were good. No GF menu. Only GF options were the tacos, tasted terrible. Not sure if it was even corn. I wouldn't try this location, especially if you have celiac.
Excellent upscale Mexican food, try the fish tacos. Eaten here many times, servers always very helpful.
Amazing food! They have many gluten free options and dedicated fryers. When we informed the waitress of our allergy, she immediately asked if it was Celiac's or preference. They really known the difference and make sure avoid cross contamination. The food is a bit higher than other places, however it is worth it. They are a more classy restaurant and they food was of great quality and taste.
Had a lovely lunch there today. The tableside guacamole was yummy, the service was super attentive, and everyone enjoyed thier entrees. We all enjoyed the atmosphere too. It felt modern and spacious. The gluten-free menu was extensive. Highly recommend. (One thing: Dining in NY is never cheap, but I think this restaurant should have 3 dollar signs, not two)
We stopped by for dinner during a busy time and were, of course cautious, but, our waiter was knowledgeable and was helpful w/our selections. Being a celiac it was refreshing to have someone who was aware of the concerns. Our meals were good and glad we stopped by and no reactions afterward left us w/an overall good feeling about our stop. Was a great stop for our Mexican food fix. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been a chips and salsa offering to start.
Flavorful and safe!! The employees didn't bat an eye at gluten free and even assured us that certain tortillas and chips were made from corn, not gluten. This is delicious AUTHENTIC Mexican food! You have to try their guacamole salsa- it goes from a whole avocado and toppings to an amazing salsa right before your eyes! Even the shy ones with the green salsa in our party were addicted. It was so good that I hope to make a similar recipe at home! Rosa Mexicano is a celiac safe feast!
Waitress didn't know what gluten was. No gluten free menu. Got very sick from eating fish tacos and didn't even eat the tortillas just in case.
One if my favorite go-to places when I'm shopping. I have never had an issue. They do have a separate gluten free menu. The enchiladas are great, I would also recommend trying the elotes! Empanadas and flautas are good too. Anything fried has a separate fryer. Corn chips are made in house and safe to eat.
Thanks to the other recommendations I took my family to this restaurant while on vacation in PR. Turns out it was a five minute walk from our hotel and it was the best dinner we've had so far. Almost everything on the menu is already gluten free and the staff all seemed knowledgeable as far as gluten allergies/celiac are concerned. I'm just sorry we didn't find this place sooner.
I was told there was no GF menu, but the staff was knowledgeable (although I did find a GF menu online later!). We ordered the Guacamole en Molcajete, their famous tableside preparation, and it was awesome. I was given corn tortillas and my husband & son were served fried tortillas. I ordered the fajitas for dinner and they were great. The boys enjoyed their dinners as well. Staff was very attentive. [Note: if you park in the parking ramp, have the restaurant stamp your parking ticket and you'll pay a reduced amount]
