My celiac kids loved that they could indulge in the chips. The waitress was wonderful and offered to make the kids “bean dip” with beans and queso fresco when they asked if she had bean dip for the chips. No issues arose with my celiac kids or myself (dairy free for me, not GF, but generally eat GF due to kids)
GF items marked on menu. Waiter somewhat knowledgeable. They did however mess up our drink order and 2/4 of our dinner orders. Everyone else had finished their meal before I got mine, so I ended using cancelling it. There were 4 of us and we ordered the nachos, we each got 2 chips. The nachos were not labeled as GF, but the waiter said he would ask and have them put any of the toppings that had gluten on the side. When it was delivered the food pusher said that everything about the nachos was gluten free. I did have the nachos and so far feel OK. Overall pretty good with the GF stuff, but in general poor service and the food was fair to good. Small portions. I would not go back.
We specifically went to Rosa Mexicana because of this site. We researched places to eat, looked at the menu and were looking forward to eating there. We were in Boston from Philadelphia and sat down after the drive. We ordered all the things we wanted to try. Unfortunately the waitress came to tell us that the plantains were not fried in the designated fryer. The waitress had marked the plantains as wheat allergy and the kitchen did not adhere to the ticket. My daughter, who has celiac, had already eaten two of them. The waitress told me not to freak out and the manager was dismissive. I can’t tell you how disappointed were are. I give this restaurant a zero.
Great food and margaritas/sangria. Dedicated fryer for chips, etc. - salsa is delicious. I have the octopus ceviche - really good. Highly recommend
I loved my experience here! I went because I was in the area and saw all the other great reviews of this place on this app and it lived up to the expectations. So many gf options, I had chips and salsa as well as tortilla soup and a frozen margarita. I have celiac and I had no issues at all of any kind and the server made it clear that they understood I was gluten free. Great place!! Will probably return!
Excellent food and service. The chips and salsa are gf,band there are several gf options on the menu, including brunch. My husband had the mole enchiladas which sadly were not gf. He said it was the best mole he's had in the US.
This is definitely one to remember if I ever go back to Boston. The chips and salsa given to the table are gluten free, as well as a number of entrees. I got the enchiladas Suizas which although a little spicy, I really liked and I devoured. Also recommend the hibiscus iced tea which I really liked
There are several gluten free options ! The salsa is outstanding! The service however is immature! They have a lot to learn about keeping the dinning room peaceful and the customers first! Our sever was very distracted by her back of the house chores! The wait staff was busy playing and being loud even when addressed. Be prepared for a loud environment!
Regular menu has gluten free notation, lots of gluten free items including enchiladas, everything we ordered was delicious!
When I see fish tacos on a gluten free menu, I get VERY excited. What I got was very sad. The fish was completely unseasoned. Absolutely nothing on it. As the waitress put my dish down she said, oh the sauce isn't gluten free. There was no mention of this beforehand. The guacamole is phenomenal though.
Good, but sure it completely depends upon who is your server. Very loud and easy to have misunderstandings.
Someone mentioned that there is no wheat on the premises. Pretty sure that is not true. But there are a lot of portions and the fryer is dedicated for the corn chips.
