Darling little gem! Like a bodega, a small shop with a sandwich counter. No seating, but was great for us to grab a sandwich then go to the San Diego Zoo.
I explained our need for gf and was told they have a separate toaster, prep area, etc. They were very confident and I felt safe. They use Boars Head meat, which is all gf. Fabulous sandwich’s and very full! I ordered a hotdog with no bun for my daughter, and they gave us a hotdog in a regular bun. They instantly replaced it with a fresh hot dog, and gave us a gf cookie to ease the inconvenience.
Excellent sandwiches and very safe. The owner is very knowledgeable about celiac safety and often has gluten free baked goods stocked
I love this place! They have such great sandwiches and can make almost all of them gluten free. The gluten free bread they use is really yummy too. They have a separate toaster, cutting board, utensils, etc for the gluten free sandwiches. I have never had any issues getting sick here and I am extremely sensitive to cross contamination.
In addition to the great sandwiches, the selection of groceries in the market includes many gluten free options as well. Gf pastas, soy sauce, soups, baking mixes, and more.
The woman who runs the market, Romi, is so sweet! Just tell the staff you have an allergy/or celiac and they will be very helpful.

The owner here is so sweet. She got me a vegan gluten-free pumpkin breakfast cake during Thanksgiving. She always has gluten-free muffins and cookies for me. I love this place! They even have dairy free if you ask.
