Had the BEST experience at Beach House! Knowledgeable staff and a lot of the menu could be made/modified to GF! You won’t regret going! I’m gluten intolerant

We called ahead and asked if there are gluten free options and they said yea almost everything can be altered.
In reality 1 of their 8 apps was gluten free, 2 salads and 2 entrees.
Not worth the price to have so few options

Great restaurant. The server knew all about what could be made gluten-free. The food was really tasty. I tried the blackened cod and the fresh catch (Mahi-Mahi). The cod is excellent. Also, the molten lava cake can be made gluten-free, and it is excellent.

Super knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Not only did my GF diner enjoy a fresh fish over risotto with vegetables, but they surprised us with a GF dessert to share - fantastic.

We ate at the resort restaurant Beach House by Roy Yamaguchi— that was better than the other options, but NOTHING is marked on the menu (or when served) and the server didn’t seem to know much about g-f. When I asked what was g-f, he told us about 2 main course items and the dessert (which was both the least impressive & most expensive molten chocolate cake I’ve ever had). When asked AGAIN about the rest of the menu, he basically said to let him know what we wanted and they could modify it (but couldn’t tell me how the dishes would be modified, which made it difficult to decide). The surf and turf was pretty good, as was the sushi we ordered, but it was like pulling teeth with the service. Bottom line, we cancelled our other reservations and are sticking with the food trucks. Not fancy, but at least we know what we’re getting and they seem to know what they’re doing.
I saw other reviews that talked about allergy cards, and either our server didn’t know anything about them or they’ve done away with them. Or maybe they treated us differently because we were a large group of 4 adults and 3 kids. I don’t know, but for the money we spent, I expected better. I’m happy to pay for excellent food and service, but this was thoroughly disappointing.
Honestly, eating at this resort has been a nightmare. If you stay here, I’d recommend driving the 5 minutes to Kahuku and going to the food trucks instead. They’re better value, locally owned and operated, and they seem to know more about gluten-free than the resort staff. (Papi’s Tacos was great!)

Very accommodating for gluten free! There wasn’t a dedicated GF menu, but the server was very knowledgeable about which dishes were GF and which they could make substitutions to make GF.

The server was really helpful and knowledgeable. They have allergen cards that note the specifics and that gets shared with the chef. Server assured me the surfaces would be prepared and cleaned so no risk of contamination. My son who is the celiac in the family ordered the salmon with rice and he gobbled it all up.

So great!! Both my daughter and myself have Celiac and the staff was knowledgeable about gluten free and about cross contact. We were both able to oder a full meal and enjoy a stress free eating experience. The menu is not marked so that was the tricky part but the server know all the items we could or cold not order.

They had a whole allergy card! It was amazing. I could just mark my allergies and order and they made sure the kitchen had it.

Amazing food and service but definitely $40-50 a main dish. Don’t believe the single $ sign.

Staff took it seriously and talked with us about our options and what sauces were safe and what to avoid
Beef roast was absolutely the best ever, melt in your mouth. the vegan lentil veggie roast was really delicious as well. They choc lava GF cake is the best I have ever tried.
Onsite at Turtle Bay, make a reservation in advance, they fill up very fast. We got lucky and snagged a table at the bar.

Wait Staff and kitchen very knowledgeable and able to make things differently for gluten and sesame free. Felt very safe here, ate multiple times on our trip!

The service here was excellent! The allergies in our group included gluten, dairy, egg, soy, tree nuts, and shellfish. The waitress made special allergy slips that included a box to check if cross contamination was ok or not. (Not ok for us) The food was delicious! The piña colados were gf, I had a great gf chicken sandwich. The person with a dairy, egg, soy, tree nut allergy had a bun-less burger which she claims was the best she ever had. The person with egg, dairy, and shellfish allergy had salmon with avocados and bacon. Sadly this restaurant is an hour away from where we are staying but if it wasn’t we would definitely be coming back!
