They have a GF menu if you ask. I got the chicken parm which is huge. It was 2 whole chicken breasts and a side of GF pasta. I brought the leftovers home and it was honestly better reheated the next day. We also got the burrata, asparagus, and brussel sprouts to share. The brussel sprouts and burrata were good, but the asparagus was just fine. The staff is super nice, but the music and atmosphere were overall way too loud. You could barely talk to your table and the waiter even had a hard time hearing us. It was overall good, but probably not worth the price to be honest
It seems my experience here does not line up with previous reviewers. I do not think our waiter was careful at all. We ordered the prosciutto service and he knew o had a gluten allergy. They served the sides with the prosciutto (olives, anchovy, cheese and peppers) on a separate plate but it has gluten breadsticks resting on top of these. Thank goodness my husband asked if they were gluten free breadsticks or not. From there it just goes downhill. I had the chicken parm which was coated in rice flour - it comes with a side of gluten free pasta. I asked to have a different side instead and I was told no they can’t do that which wasn’t a huge deal but not very accommodating. Then when it came time for dessert our waiter was pointing out gluten free desserts and there was a budino and an ice cream - he then pointed out if I wanted to live on the edge I could have the cheesecake and eat around the crust. This was not a funny joke. It does not seem as though they are careful about gluten free. I did not feel confident my dinner was gluten free but I don’t feel sick yet..
A bit pricey, but totally worth it! Went twice in a week, very knowledgeable and kind staff, they take good care, separate GF menu, lots of choice (except for desserts), great dishes. Did not get sick while very sensitive. Had chicken parmesan, pasta carbonara, Caesar salad, short rib pasta, and adapted vanilla gelato.
I got sick after. There was nothing to indicate if the food was gluten free when it was brought out, so I was concerned since the food runner is a different person from the waiter. (PS: The Caesar salad is literally several pieces of uncut lettuce for $14. It was ridiculous.) They encourage sharing so not a great place if your companion(s) eat gluten.
Extensive, separate GF menu. We had the burrata, octopus, cacio e Pepe (needed more pepper but the noodles were fantastic) and the Brussels. Our server was fantastic, the drinks excellent, and the food stellar. The octopus was the best we’ve ever had - not chewey and full of flavor! Highly recommend this place!!
Lots of wonderful gf options, including chicken parmesan. It's the best gf chicken parm I've ever had! I've gotten delivery from here many times and have never gotten sick.
Some of the best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had! I have celiac disease and was totally fine after eating here. The only drawbacks are that it’s always very busy - you should definitely make a reservation and the staff is a little uppity - they’ve made it awkward each time I’ve come and not wanted to order much. They insist that it’s a family style restaurant and you should order a bunch of things- they tried to tell my husband and I we should order 6 appetizers...! So that’s annoying. But the food is good and safe.
Amazing amazing amazing. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had since my diagnosis 5 years ago. Service is excellent, Celiac is understood and taken seriously without question, and the food is delicious! We had the Spring Veg risotto, Carbonara, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Burrata, Brocollini, Rice Pudding, and Chocolate budino. Everything came back gluten free on my Nima sensor. So delicious! Wish I had one near me. Highly recommend.
We visited Chicago for 6 days and we are here twice for dinner because once just wasn’t enough! Service and attention to detail were excellent. My husband is gf and they went out of their to provide a excellent meal both times! I can’t recommend this place highly enough! It’s a must do in Chicago!
Amazing attention to detail. Many involved in serving and everyone was on top of making sure meal was served with no issues. Never had to ask or explain. Dedicated GF menu. Food amazing -a little pricey. Went New Years eve. Simply mention celiac member in party when making reservation.
This place was great. Must be from ownership that sets the tone of safety for people with food allergies and Celiac. Our server was excellent. Manager came to answer my questions and made recommendations on how to tailor my order to be GF. They just get it. Had a filet mignon without butter (which may be subject to cross contamination) and the garlic whipped mashed potatoes (avoid the Gorgonzola). Delicious meal. Did not get sick and was so happy that the entire staff took food safety and being strict GF so seriously. 6 stars if it was possible. They have a separate GF menu. I came here on the recommendation of previous reviewers and so happy that I did.
The staff were so extremely knowledgable and took allergies very seriously. I was so impressed that I could have a delicious bowl of pasta, and I had no reaction whatsoever. If you are looking to speak to the manager, ask for Dan, he took lots of time to speak with us. The pasta was phenomenal and so we're the sides (which they also made gluten free). Highly recommend!
They have a pretty large gluten free menu (printed up separately to make things easy) and very knowledgable wait staff. The garlic mashed potatoes were the most amazing thing I think I've ever eaten. The basic pasta ( momma depandes) was good. My 7 year old ate it along with the mashed potatoes and chocolate pudding and loved it all. It is still overpriced in my opinion which is why I cannot give 5 stars. The portions are extremely small for the price.I had the tomato salad appetizer (also gf) and it was literally two very small tomatoes sprinkled with cheese and olive oil for 10 dollars. Overall you pay for the atmosphere. Very hip and beautiful decor. Best for a first few dates and probably not a family of 5. Either way I enjoyed the experience and probably will get some of those potatoes to go before trips end!
best gf homemade fettucine and desserts! very attentive to gf diet.
House made gf pasta. Lots of options and everything is excellent.
Overall a great experience - food, decor, service and music. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the GF options. All four of us had great food. Would definitely recommend our GF items - lobster caprese, bolognese sauce and the carbonara. All pasta sauces are safe and served with excellent GF fettucine. Will definitely go back.
