All food was listed on an allergen chart. Asked about one item and looked up to see if it was gluten free.

Awesome BBQ + really knowledgeable and kind staff! They have a full allergen sheet for all menu items — nearly all of the meat is GF and a number of sides are too. So happy we found this place on our road trip!

What a find! We spotted Rudy’s on Gas Buddy for cheap diesel. My celiac husband was thrilled to enjoy GF breakfast there too. The staff understands GF food prep and gave him plenty of options. He enjoyed a hearty GF breakfast burrito bowl (a breakfast burrito sans tortilla). We will stop at Rudy’s every time we are in Amarillo.

Very gluten free friendly. They have all of their allergens listed on the website as well as posted by the register. They are happy to look up ingredient for you that you are concerned about. Basically, all of their meats are gluten-free except the pulled pork. No gluten free buns. But you can eat the meat and sides or get the loaded baked potatoes. The bbq sauces are also all gluten free. Exceptional food and service!

We are from Austin. Glad we found this while traveling.

Someone else said it, and it was perfectly described, "A bizarrely safe place to eat." They know their stuff and will happily work with you.

2nd time in Rudy’s… first was in Austin,TX. Had the brisket and was fine afterwards, I did not get any sauce just because 🤷🏻♂ Love it here! Plus the gas station vibe is hilarious. Tell the cashier behind the counter you’re GF and she has a private menu with all allergens marked.

Great! My very sensitive Celiac daughter had no reaction. I also have Celiacs and had no reaction. We ate brisket and potato salad. Delicious!

My family loves this place and since it was highly rated I wanted to give it a try. They have allergen info posted by the register and each cashier has the list of items and their allergens. All meats except for pulled pork is gluten-free and of course they have breads for sandwiches all over, so let them know when you order that you have an allergy and they will change the cutting boards and knives for your order. I spoke with the cashier, asked for them to change the boards and their gloves and put down that I had a gluten allergy. The cashier didn’t seem to sure of the process but the management in the back seemed to know what they were doing. I ordered 2 orders of the baby back ribs, and got the potato salad and Cole slaw (all pre-packed separately in a fridge for customers to grab before going to the register). The rub on the baby back ribs was too peppery for my tasters and I had a mild gluten-headache/brain fog from small amounts of cross contact. I would eat here in a pinch, but would much rather try some other places that are more knowledgeable/dedicated gluten free.
