Unfortunately, I cannot reccomend this place to anyone who is sensitive to cross-contamination as CC is very probable with their prep station set up the way it is.
I ordered the brisket after taking a look at their gluten-free menu (no sides or sauce, just brisket).
I told them I have Celiac so they used fresh gloves, cut from a new brisket, used a clean knife and a clean cutting board that was (somewhat) seperate from the main cutting area.
Everything was great until I noticed the brisket that they sliced for me was wrapped/"plated?" on the same table that they use to prep the sandwiches. There were bread crumbs all over that area, but I couldn't be sure any crumbs made it onto the brisket, so I took a chance and ate my brisket with a fork.
The food was sublime but I was undoubtedly glutened and can't risk dining there again.
If you plan on giving it a go, I reccomend asking for your meat to be wrapped/"plated?" Somewhere other than the sandwich counter.
They have good food and will pull out a list at the register to guide you on what you can eat. Try the turkey. It is moist and one of the best we have eaten.
Everything is gluten free except the pulled pork, stew, cream corn and the desserts.
I love Rudy's BBQ. All of the meats and sauces are gluten free. Most of the sides are also gf.
Stopped in, asked questions before sitting, looked at GF menu stapled to pole, spoke to staff at front and decided to leave. Most meats and sauces they stated should be GF. Pulled pork definitely not GF. Listed no sides that were GF. She didn’t know about the beans. She pointed out that the cream corn and the rice crispy treats now have gluten.
Went here for the first time today. The staff were knowledgeable about everything but the sauces.
I got the turkey, brisket, and the ribs. We also got the potato salad. I saw on another review (thanks!) that the sauces are good.
I liked everything but the ribs. Absolutely no issues with anything!
