We had a lovely dinner here. First time ever eating at Ruth’s Chris. Lovely location, nice area of the city, and they definitely noted my gluten issues. Wait staff was excellent. My husband and I ordered the 40oz porterhouse steak for 2, added the shrimp, and garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes were phenomenal! The steak and shrimp were very good as well. I have not felt sick at all. The sides are intended to serve 2-3 people so we ordered one side and shared it. It was the perfect amount. They had bread and butter for my non-GF husband. They had 2 gf desserts available, although I did not try them this visit.

Ruth's Chris Steak House is in old city hall and the restaurant itself is stunning. There is a separate gluten free menu including all of their steaks and several other options/sides. I ordered a fillet and it was cooked to perfection, however I was sick within an hour of eating. The waitress was rushing and did not write down my allergies or order, and the woman delivering the dishes to the table was unaware of my allergies. Hopefully they will work on making their restaurant more allergy friendly because I would love to return in the future (and not get sick).

The wait staff and head chef seem to be knowledgeable about gluten, and cross-contact concerns. There is a gluten free menu with multiple appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts.
The gluten free menu lists fries as a side option, but we wanted to be sure they were safe to eat. Our waiter checked with the head chef, and informed us that unfortunately they do not have a dedicated frier, and had fried some breaded calamari earlier that day. So, while it was disappointing that corporate put a not-safe side item on the GF menu, we were glad that the kitchen was knowledgeable enough about CC to tell us the fries weren't safe.
