The server wasn't knowledgeable, but asked and the chef said one of their fryers is dedicated GF. I'm not symptomatic so can't confirm it is truly safe to eat here.

People need to be wary when ordering here, even when things are marked GF- their Asian kelp noodle salad was marked GF, but I was told upon ordering that the tofu was prepared in the same fryer as their donuts and therefore was at risk for cross-contamination. Make sure you double check that everything you eat is safe!! I ended up going with the tortilla soup instead as well as the GF pretzels and had no reaction.
The pretzels were decent, albeit a bit dry. The soup was mediocre, although this could have something to do with the fact that it was tepid by the time I got home to eat it. The GF bread that came on the side was far from excellent.
Staff was friendly.

They say on the menu that if you have severe allergies to not eat there. I was with a group so ordered the harvest salad and asked them to not grill the tofu. It was delicious but I had a reaction. The tofu at least was marinated in tamari. Maybe the nuts weren’t clear of CC. Great restaurant but hard for Celiacs.

Wish they added the little extra effort to use separate frying oil so I could eat some of the items that would otherwise be GF. Also would be nice to see GF beer and not just hard kombucha.

Was in the area for work for a week. I am celiac and my coworker is vegan. We were like kids in a candy store here. We are her three times. Everything is vegan and probably 3/4 is or can be gf. We had several different appetizers and entrees because we simply couldn’t decide. Everything was delicious. We were able to eat outside and enjoy the weather. The staff was very clear on things and helpful. I would recommend Sage to enjoy some meals for sure.

I went here in Jan 2019 - exciting news they shared at the time specific to this location is that the fryer is now GF only - they used to make gluten-y stuff in them (donuts) and now get that from other places and so it’s the only location with this. That means the cauliflower wings are safe! I would call first/ask in case anything changes tho. My celiac daughter has been twice and no issues - but I definitely ask everyone and triple check everything. If you go in and it’s still a gf fryer please tell them how much you appreciate it so it stays that way - the buffalo cauliflower is dreamy...
They now have a designated fryer. We only had the appetizers, which were great and plan to come back.
I had the cauliflower orange chicken bowl and the cauliflower buffalo wing appetizer. Other than eating too much cauliflower I had no issues.
Yes
They do not have a shared frier, and just began posting this on their menu (this info was not posted before, and they would label as gluten free)
No
Fryers are shared. Some items are safer but there’s no distinction on the menu as to what doesn’t contain gluten ingredients vs what has no cross contamination. Ask your server about everything you order! I’ve had the soft pretzel and didn’t react.

Even though everything was supposedly gluten free, I definitely got glutened. Had rice, beans, sweet potato fries, jackfruit tacos etc.

We were so excited to try this restaurant and the menu marked several items as gluten-free as well as vegan. But when we asked more questions, it turns out that they don’t even have a dedicated fryer, so most everything we were going to order would not be gluten-free. That included the chips in the nachos, the mac & cheese balls, the fried artichoke hearts etc. So we didn’t end up going. Be careful if you order from there. They really need to get a dedicated fryer. That’s ridiculous.
