People need to be wary when ordering here, even when things are marked GF- their Asian kelp noodle salad was marked GF, but I was told upon ordering that the tofu was prepared in the same fryer as their donuts and therefore was at risk for cross-contamination. Make sure you double check that everything you eat is safe!! I ended up going with the tortilla soup instead as well as the GF pretzels and have had no reaction.
The pretzels were decent, albeit a bit dry. The soup was mediocre, although this could have something to do with the fact that it was tepid by the time I got home to eat it. The GF bread that came on the side was far from excellent.
Staff was friendly.

I went here in Jan 2019 - exciting news they shared at the time specific to this location is that the fryer is now GF only - they used to make gluten-y stuff in them (donuts) and now get that from other places and so it’s the only location with this. That means the cauliflower wings are safe! I would call first/ask in case anything changes tho. My celiac daughter has been twice and no issues - but I definitely ask everyone and triple check everything. If you go in and it’s still a gf fryer please tell them how much you appreciate it so it stays that way - the buffalo cauliflower is dreamy...
They now have a designated fryer. We only had the appetizers, which were great and plan to come back.
I had the cauliflower orange chicken bowl and the cauliflower buffalo wing appetizer. Other than eating too much cauliflower I had no issues.
Yes
They do not have a shared frier, and just began posting this on their menu (this info was not posted before, and they would label as gluten free)
No
I ordered the gluten-free soft pretzels because I read reviews saying not to order fried foods because they don’t have a dedicated fryer. I’ve only had soft pretzels I made myself since I’ve been gluten free and these were as good or better. The dipping sauces offered were also good. I didn’t tell them it was an allergy or I was celiac or anything, but maybe I should have. The food definitely made me sick.

Very kind and helpful staff at the counter and kind creme and the other ice creams, as well as the gluten free hot pretzels and the gluten free pecan buns are great. However— almost everything listed on the menu as “GF” is either cooked on the same grill or surface as gluten containing items, or it’s fried in the same fryer. I’ve been gluten free and in remission for about twelve years so I occasionally risk the fryer, but this place is NOT celiac friendly. We also unfortunately had an incredibly rude waiter this weekend who made my recently gluten free friend celiac feel like she was a problem. He was irritated that he was asked to make suggestions of what she could truly safely eat (which he either couldn’t or wouldn’t do). He then promised to make sure she got the correct plate and that special care would be taken with her order... and it came out COVERED in the ingredients he had said would be left off to make it safe. It’s really, really irresponsible to label so many things “GF” when, in reality, there’s not just a “chance of cross contamination”, but constant contact with gluten. So many folks need all the help they can get to feel better and as “normal” as possible when first navigating a life with celiac. It’s also cruel to treat someone who needs help (and is being very polite and apologetic) like a weirdo or a problem when many of us already innately feel like that when eating out. I’m sad and disappointed in Sage.

I cannot select multiple tags of what is offered, but there is Gluten Free beer, bread, cider, pancakes, pasta, also vegan friendly.
Yes
Although the menu looks enticing, the food does not live up to the hype, it is not tasty, leaves you feeling bloated and is overpriced. Skip this place and go to Cafe Gratitude in Venice instead, a much better choice.
