Sakura Japanese Restaurant

Excellent place - fresh and healthy sushi servicing sizes - the head sushi chef is Lin, who is very knowledgeable and capable to ensure no gluten in what you order (even knows about fish roe and fake krab frequently having gluten). We've been going here for several years and will continue for many more. Highly recommend! They have tamari, too.

This place sucks! The only thing they have that is gluten free is steamed rice. Total waste of my time

The server actually took our order form and marked all the GF items, as well as some that could be altered. And the have GF soy sauce as well. Have been twice recently, both visits were great and tasty experiences.

They do not have a gluten-free menu, however, the chefs are well aware of what items contain gluten. It limits the menu considerably and things that I did not even know contained gluten they did, which I was very grateful. At first it was frustrating because the server kept coming back to tell us another roll had gluten, so I asked her what doesn't contain gluten. She went and consulted with the chefs and came back with the order sheet in which they had crossed off which rolls I could not have. This was much easier so I recommend asking them to do this for you from the start. They also have 2 gluten free soy sauce, one was low sodium. Throughout the experience the server remained friendly the entire time and the food was delicious.
