Review of Salata

I love this place! I have celiac disease, a sunflower allergy and am a vegetarian. Even in Southern California this can make it challenging to eat out as I am very, very sensitive to gluten cross contamination.

There is a sign on the wall that says to let them know if you have a gluten allergy and they will take precautions. So I did. I can not speak highly enough of the service at the City National location. Not only did the server change her gloves with a smile, when I explained that I have a severe allergy, she took all of my food items from the covered containers underneath the counter without rolling her eyes, or saying, or being some other way that made me feel like my allergies were a burden to her.

I have been eating there once or twice a week for the past few months and have never, ever gotten sick from cross contamination. The staff there is just wonderful. I can't speak highly enough about the service I've received there. They always take the allergy precautions with a smile and have never once served me contaminated food. They are so consistently wonderful I can even place an order online and trust that not only will my order be correct (it always is) but that the staff will have taken the allergy precautions. This place is a life saver!
