They have an extensive variety of gf baked goods. All items had allergens clearly labeled and was prepackaged. As a celiac, I love being able to try EVERYTHING on the menu. Can’t leave without picking up a pound cake, excellent with fresh strawberries!
I’ve been to Sally’s bakery many times and their food is always very good and very well-made. However, something happened this morning that gives me pause about buying from them. I want to share my experience here because I know how much this app helps me and all of us who are gluten free find safe places to eat. This morning I pulled up 10 minutes before the shop opened and watched the employee pull in eat a few Chick-fil-A nuggets in her car. I wasn’t concerned with that because it is her car and her right to do and as long as she washes her hands I’m not concerned about it. What did concern me is when she took the bag of Chick-fil-A brought it INSIDE the bakery, put the bag of food on the counter and then proceeded to unload all the bins of baked goods and samples into the bakery without washing hands. I don’t know if she washed before setting up the samples. For a celiac this is troubling. I called the main location in Sandy Springs and talked with the son of the owner and he told me that this employee is new and they will make sure to emphasize to her that the building is 100% gluten-free. I understand that mistakes happen but there are very few places as celiacs that my daughter and I can feel safe eating at and 100% gluten-free bakery should be one of those places. I’m going to take a few weeks off from Sally’s and then I’ll stop by again and see how I feel. I believe the owners truly care about their business and work hard to make sure the products they produce are gluten free. What happens in the Alpharetta store where there may not be as much oversight is what concerns me.
Great people, everyone is soooo nice. Food is fantastic, and fresh and delicious. Watch out for the free samples, they’ll have you leaving with way more than you went there to buy. I recommend the chocolate chip cookies for the ride home. You can buy their delicious cakes in 1/4 cakes too. As a Health and Wellness coach I recommend everyone cut down or remove gluten altogether from their diet, but one thing is certain “YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE A GLUTEN ALLERGY OR CELIACS TO ENJOY THEIR PRODUCTS!
If you have a chance to stop here, DO IT!!! Lots of yummy choices that I have not found in other gf bakeries. They also have samples out to try. We wanted to buy everything but since we were traveling we could not. We did get a Pound cake and Coffee cake that were to die for!!! Really impressive cinnamon roll and red velvet cupcakes too!!!
Absolutely love this place! We visited from North Carolina and the service was friendly and knowledgeable, the food amazing. Everything from their cupcakes and cookies to their cakes and breads was delicious and does not have the typical gluten free texture! As a Celiac I was very well pleased and will be ordering from them often!
I love this place. I have ordered several cakes from them and my non gf free friends can't tell the difference! Absolutely delicious cakes. I always get their products dairy free as well and I have not been disappointed by anything. Even their pizzas are delicious.
Sally's Gluten Free Bakery is by far my favorite bakery in the metro area! My favorite things from there are the chocolate chip cookies, Hummingbird cake, red velvet cupcakes, quick breads, pound cake and the new cinnamon buns (only available on Saturdays). It's simply incredible food that happens to be gluten-free!
I'm so glad I stumbled across this place. They make me less sad about my diagnosis. Their sandwich bread is actually fluffy and yummy. (Not like a lot of gluten free breads) I am obsessed with their pumpkin and sweet potato breads. Highly recommended.
This is my go-to gluten free bakery. The staff is super helpful and they have samples so you can try before you buy. Their bread is excellent. The hummingbird cake and sweet breads are divine. And I love the cookies and cupcakes. I usually stock up on a few of their frozen pizzas. They have a wide range of pizza toppings.
Very stuffy and small. The woman in the bakery was rude and unfriendly when we walked in. I will not go back. That being said the items tasted good, but were very expensive. I bought the honey nut bread, which has a nice flavor but falls apart easily.
This place is great. Everything is GF. And then if you have other allergies they are labeled very well. Many many samples. The few I tried were exceptional well. I went for chocolate cake and added sandwich bread to the purchase. Amazing think sandwich bread that tasted so good. Not like grocery bought products. Haven't used the bread yet so we will see if holds together.
Small storefront 2 doors down from Egg Harbor Cafe, difficult to find due to the buildings staircase... but so worth it! They have so many samples out which is unusual and much appreciated! We bought blueberry muffins, banana chocolate chip muffins and pumpkin bread. All were fantastic and moist, not dry. Highly recommend!
Purchased cupcakes and cookies, which were good. A little overloaded with sugar. Our first visit. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming cashier (owner?). It felt like we were a nuisance to her. Perhaps they prefer call in vs walk in. I will not be returning.
I was thrilled that I found this bakery on my vacation. The banana bread and chocolate cupcakes were delicious. Plus, they were both gluten and dairy free! This is a happening place! There was a customer in front of me and another one that was waiting. You need to totally go. This is a friendly place with delicious goodies!
Sally's is my favorite of the local dedicated gf bakery offerings. Everything I've tried here has been delicious & a wonderful texture. My family's favorites are the carrot cake, CRAW bread, pound cake, to-go pizzas & the pumpkin bread. The shopping center is in a congested area & parking can be a problem, so allow yourself some extra time for traffic.
Love Sally's Bakery. I am celiac. It was started because her daughter is celiac. I order CRAW bread and have it shipped to Savannah every month. It freezes great. She has paleo and vegan too. Great food.
Sally's is a counter where you can order gf baked goods. I got the pumpkin bread, sandwich bread and pound cake. We used the bread to make sandwiches for brunch and the pumpkin bread served with Irish butter with brunch. The sandwiches were really good. The pumpkin bread was a hit. My family wanted to know where it was from. Recommend if you're in Atlanta.
I have no idea how this GF bread is so fluffy. It's amazing and delicious. There are samples out and everything we tried was so good. We bought chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin bread, and honey nutty bread. Everything was a hit, but those cookies were better than I ever remember flour cookies being. We will return, for sure.
Wonderful bakery products here. I became a steady customer after my first visit over a year ago. Since I have not tried a product that I did not enjoy, I must recommend this establishment to anyone in the area that has Celiacs.
I bought the blueberry muffins, chocolate chip cookies, and pound cake! They were all amazing! The whole bakery is gluten free and I was very impressed! Next time I'm in Atlanta I will be stopping there!
I Love! Love! Love Sally's. Awesome cakes and cupcakes and everything is certified gluten free. I only get to go there when I'm in town and wish she shipped to the west coast. Haven't tried her other stuff but I'm sure it's great too.
Best gluten free fresh bread in Atlanta! Try the banana bread or C.R.A.W. (cinnamon raisin and walnut) bread. The banana bread takes me right back to a memory of my grandmother's kitchen when I was a kid. She even makes a great pizza my sister and mother love!
