I'm new to being gluten free with celiac disease. Me and my boyfriend went here yesterday at the powers location in Colorado Springs, and it was one of the better experiences I have had. I told the waitress I was gluten free and she was kind to tell me the chips were not gluten friendly. She also made sure to tell the kitchen I am GF, and they made my corn tortillas on a separate surface dedicated for GF items according to the waitress (I ordered the fajitas). I was pleased to hear that they are gluten friendly and they even have a GF menu on the back of the menu. They also asked if it was a preference or an allergy. I would definitely go here again.
Not celiac friendly. I love to support this and other local establishments, and the food is delicious, however my confidence has eroded after my son and I opened our takeout containers to find unwrapped flour tortillas (instead of wrapped corn tortillas) on top of our food. Called and talked with a manager who gave us two options: comp the meal or get a replacement. I chose to go back and get replacement dinners (the rest of our family had begun to eat at that point), and no discount/comp was offered even though I had to drive back to the restaurant to get our do-over dinners. Very disappointing resolution to the problem. After years of dining at the Dublin location and others, I’ve decided to take it off the “safe enough” list for me and my celiac son. This is not the first time I’ve been glutened at Salsa Brava. Very sad.
I went to the old location by Briargate and the food tasted fabulous. This time, my first time at their new location. All new wait staff. My carnitas were overcooked and had no flavor. I did not get sick but was disappointed in the flavor of the food. Also they only margherita they can do gf now is the skinny girl...not the one I wanted.
