I didn’t feel as comfortable at this location as our waitress was nice, but didn’t seem to have the confidence that I would like to hear when being a celiac. With that said, I did confirm with another server that my order was indeed done in the dedicated fryer. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was really good. Their beef fat French fries are the best French fries ever!

I had no issues 24 hours later. I ordered pick up so I don't know about the servers but they had gluten free buns and I could add an allergy to my order. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious

Unfortunately I was sick for 2 days after eating here even though I asked repeatedly about GF safe protocols etc. I ordered pull pork sandwich & French fries(supposedly GF fryer). I have not been that sick for a long time. Such a bummer.
this place was absolutely amazing!! server was very knowledgeable of the severity of celiac (immediately assured us that the kitchen staff would change gloves before prepping our dishes). the gluten free menu had great variety!

If it was not for this app I would have never discovered this place. It was amazing. The menu had everything clearly marked that was GF so did not have to ask all the questions I normally do prior to ordering. I had the salmon platter minus the sauce, as the waiter said that part did contain gluten. The beans and fries were also gf and were also great. I think the only side that wasn’t gf was the mac and cheese, in which my husband tried and said it was the best he’d ever had. The waiter was definitely on top of what was and wasn’t GF. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has to eat gf.

I had double bacon cheeseburger with fried onions and beef fat fries-very good. Yes they have gluten free buns also. Will definitely go back!! All sauces are gluten free. And great view from second floor!

We visited the Ballpark Village location before a game. Separate gluten free menu with plenty of options. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Ribs were good as was the pulled pork on the GF bun. And the fries were fantastic. Will definitely go to again when heading to a game.

Love salt and smoke!! It’s always great to find a place where you can have GF barbecue. They have a GF menu and are knowledgeable about Celiac. I had the delicious pulled chicken sandwich and the trashed wings!

The menu marks gluten free items and there are plenty to pick from. Anything in the fryer is a problem because they don’t have a separate gluten free fryer so avoid the fries. But other than that they have gluten free buns for burgers and they have lots of side dishes that are gluten free. They even have a decent amount of fresh veggies sides for folks looking for something healthy.

Separate menu with gluten free clearly labeled. I had the pulled chicken and it was good - better than other take out food I’ve had in the last few weeks! It smelled really good inside too.

Easy to order a gluten free meal here and they mark gluten meals on the menu. The food is tasty and the staff and kitchen seem to understand cross contamination. I have eaten here many times without issue.

This place on Delmar is OUTSTANDING. Before I could take a picture of the food it was gone! I had the GF Bestie combo with brisket and chicken. I picked cream corn and the fries for side. For those of you who want a dedicated fryer go here... just remember the fries are cooked with garlic so if that bothers your stomach be mindful do that fact. The boys had regular S+S burgers and the Mac and cheese. Those got snarfed up as well. Ask for extra napkins and wipes. Almost forgot...we ate the GF Deviled Eggs with bacon as and appetizer. I would recommend those as well.
Good, safe take out

Great bbq! Knowledgeable staff! They have a separate gf menu.
Yes
Staff was very knowledgable and they had a very good gluten free menu. Not amazing for gluten free and pescatarian but still very delicious.
The person I spoke to was so knowledgeable and even knew about soy sauce not being gf. BUT they don't have a dedicated fryer. They said they were working on implementing more gf measures though, so I'm going to check them out again in a month or two.
Servers are all well educated. I come here a lot!
Yes
The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The food tasted very good. They have a gluten free menu with a wide variety and have the items marked that are fried in a shared fryer, BUT when I was eating my pit beans I found one cooked shell from their mac & cheese. What!?? I fished it out and I did not have a significant reaction but im not extremely sensitive - yet. I was diagnosed as celiac 2.5 yrs ago and seem to be getting more sensitive over time.
No
Separate gluten free menu with lots of choices, sides were amazing and they even had some appetizers!
Delicious gluten free pulled chicken on gf roll with brisket chili side- staff celiac knowledgeable. Fryer is not dedicated gf
Yes
I really wanted to love this place. I visited on a very busy Saturday night, and my server was friendly and knowledgeable about eating gluten free. BUT, halfway through eating my pulled pork, I found a stray bean from another dish on my plate - a Celiac nightmare. My server was very kind and took it back to the kitchen, and verified that the bean would have come from a gluten-free dish. But, still - the fact that any stray food made it into my plate means that cross contamination was very possible. They did bring me new pulled pork and an extra side, so it was handled well. Also, they do have a gluten-free menu, but several items on it are marked as coming from a gluten-contaminated fryer, and that's always a real bummer.
They have a menu in store and online that identifies GF options. The mustard sauce is NOT GF, but all others are ok. The brisket is amazing.
Amazing BBQ with no reactions. I come here every time I visit STL.
Yes
The meats are gluten free. All of the sides are too except for the mac n' cheese. The fries and chips share a fryer with gluten items so avoid those options if you have celiac or a gluten sensitivity. Service is top notch. I had the smoked wings as an appetizer. Pulled chicken plate with the pit beans and bacon, and green beans with tomatoes. The Plates come with a piece of bread called a popover so give it away or ask to not have it. I gave mine to my mom.
Great barbecue! All of their sauces are gf except one and most sides are tasty and ok to eat. Be sure to ask for no popover on your plate!
