Fish is battered with corn flour. I’ve eaten here three times over the past two years and I’ve never had a reaction. If you are sensitive to dairy, I believe they use milk prior to battering their fish but I’m not certain of this. Fresh fish, Excellent taste, however, the wait is significant. Worth It!

Have eaten at the shack before without issues. Ate at the new location on 15-501 and got glutened. Was told the hush puppies were no longer gluten free (they were before) so didn’t eat those, but was told fish breading should be fine. Dunno if it was cross contamination, fryer oil or what, but for somewhere that was reliably gluten safe in the past this is a shame.

This food is good and they're accommodating but I had to wait an hour outside (no indoor seating) for a $16 meal of fried fish and slaw... the foods great but I don't know if it was worth that.
