I can not suggest this place if you have celiac. I had the ceasar salad and the Bolognese and had a very strong reaction. I did obviously ask for everything to be gluten free, no croutons, gluten free pasta but I THINK it was their pre shredded Parm that did me in. It was almost immediate for me. I'm really disappointed because I was really hopeful.
They took my concerns seriously from the get go. Informed my server when we sat down and she advised they could make most things GF but did caution that the pizza was probably not safe because they use the same oven- I appreciated this level of understanding and did not order pizza (got chicken piccata and it was delicious). When my food was brought out the server was careful to confirm it was gluten free and I felt very looked after and enjoyed my meal.
Unfortunately they are not careful or aware of the importance of gluten contamination . I ordered a pizza on a gluten free crust and it was full of flower as they cooked it directly in the wood fired oven .
They understood their mistake and fully credited us .The service is very welcoming and friendly but be careful with the gluten free options .
OUTSTANDING! Wow! First off our waitress was the absolute sweetest. Had GF bread with garlic oil to start. An amazing local beet salad with the tastiest citrus mint dressing. I can’t say enough about my chicken piccata! Out of this world. My non GF husband loved his Shrimp and Scallop dish! Big score!
So much of the menu can be made gluten free but for me the most exciting was all the pasta dishes and the bread and oil! Hurrah!
Fantastic place with amazing gluten free Italian options including delicious pizza and pasta.
We ate here today and had an absolutely lovely lunch. My son and I both have celiac, and the waitress was super knowledgeable and accommodating. She explained their strategies for preventing cross-contamination of their gluten-free breads and pastas, and we felt reassured that their staff actually understood what real gluten-free means.
The food was delicious, neither of the celiacs had any signs of being glutened, and we plan on returning later this month.
What a gem of a place!
What a wonderful place! Stopped here on a road trip, and they were patient, honest, and accommodating. Our daughter has celiac, and she ordered the pizza even though they won't guarantee that it's not cross-contaminated. But they explained the baking process, and she felt like it would be fine, and it was. Delicious food all around.
What a great find-had the penne al pollo and antipasto, both of which were great. You can get gf bread for an extra $2. Separate gf menu makes ordering very easy!
Very tasty! Had penne Alfredo with scallop and shrimp. However the serving size was small, 2 scallops, 2 shrimp. The gluten-free bread roll was rubbery and tasteless – I would not recommend ordering that. Otherwise it was still a very good tasting food at a nice restaurant atmosphere.
Enjoying Italian food again. GF menu is substantial. Unfortunately, even though have GF pizza crust, the pizza cooked in same oven as gluten pizza. No biggie as there are other wonderful menu options!
