Very knowledgeable with multiple food allergies. Separate food space and plenty of options
Delicious chicken fingers and I did not get sick
Very good staff. They were very helpful making sure that what we ordered would not be something that could have cross contamination.
Great food and lots of GF options.
Staff was very helpful. Had a specific gluten free menu behind the counter. Lots of options. Almost too many good options to select just one, I wanted to order the whole menu
The fryers are not separate. They have separate sections of the fryer, but that was not enough for me to not get sick. I got a tuna salad sandwich on a gluten free bun with sweet potato fries. The woman who took my order seemed very knowledgeable about celiac and let the kitchen know. I am giving the place 3 stars (not 1 even though I got really sick) because I think people can eat here safely, you just can’t eat everything they say you can eat. They did try their best in terms of changing gloves and printing the allergy on the receipt. Just don’t trust the gluten free menu. Use your best judgement.
I couldn't find anywhere where they listed GF but when I asked the cashier he said anything breaded is GF and they have GF buns. I ordered the fish and chips (they use Mahi for the fish and I substituted sweet potatoe fries with the maple sauce) . Hubby had burger with sloppy joe fries. Very tasty and even though it doesn't look like a lot it filled both of us up perfectly.
The chicken strips are AMAZING!! I ate here three times during my week stay here and never had any issues. I got the chicken strips twice -once with bbq sauce and once with honey mustard (both were good, but I would highly recommend the honey mustard!) and a gluten free burger once, and fries every time. I will be visiting this place every time I come back!
Everything breaded in store is gluten free!! Chicken fingers Fish fry Crispy onions They use buttermilk not egg. I’ve never gotten sick here. Sweet potato fries can be gf to you just have to specify they get put in the right fryer Gf buns are available for all the sandwiches too! 4 locations in Manhattan Also the owners frequently visit the stores.
I had GF fish n chips. Very good! They have GF chicken fingers too! GF buns available for burgers. Near Times Square.
My wife who is GF loved the chicken fingers... we went 3 times in 4 days. Lots of non GF options as well just in case not all in your party are GF.
Fantastic! The GF chicken fingers were wonderful. Had a salted caramel shake. Probably going to go back while on this same trip!!
Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Great fries and burger!
Worth going for just for the GF chicken fingers. They are Awesome. Knowledgeable staff. Lots of other options too. GF buns for burgers. Ate lunch there back to back days. My son who is ultra-sensitive had no issues.
So many options! Chicken tenders, burgers/sandwiches with GF buns, sloppy joes! And it's SO inexpensive - $7.75 for a massive basket of tenders and fries. Ate here today and will be back tomorrow.
So many options. Staff are knowledgeable. Went here twice while in NY. Had the burger and fries once and chicken fingers and fries another time. They were both delicious! Haven't had chicken fingers and fries in years!
Amazing gluten free food! Lots of options and a quick food option. They had kid friendly options. They have a dedicated fryer for the fries so there is no cross contamination. Staff was very helpful and if they didn't know if something was gf then they would ask management. We tried the burgers, fries, sweet potato fries, sloppy joe, shakes, gf cider, and root beer floats. It was all amazing! We will go back anytime we are in the area!
Some of the staff is not gf knowledgeable but they will ask and get a 100% gf food. Celiac tested! Good for a quick lunch or dinner.
Great food. plenty of gf choices. recommend to anyone gf or not.
The staff was very good and the gluten free sandwiches were great, even with the sauces and cheese.
Great food and options! I loved the glutenfree burger bun. Didn't had any problems.
The best intentions of the management are for naught if the guy who takes your order isn't paying attention. Nice atmosphere, nice people, but despite asking for a gluten-free menu and specifically asking for a gluten-free bun, my order came out on the regular potato bun. And they didn't get my drink either. So, I would urge caution if you are truly celliac or gluten-sensitive.
Amazingly crispy gluten free fried food!
The burger was amazing! Gluten free buns for burgers & hotdogs. Fries weren't amazing but are GF!
No attention to cross-contamination! I asked for them to make sure the kitchen knew the sandwich was gluten free for a celiac, then watched as they cut the sandwich in the exact same cutting board where they were cutting normal bread and handling all sorts of gluten-ous things. The sandwich looked delicious, but I refused to eat it. Looking at their kitchen, I don't know how they could possibly avoid cross-contamination.
Awesome place for celiacs, the entire menu (except onion rings) is gluten-free
GF menu has lots of options. Staff does not seem to pay great attention to cross-contact (aka cross-contamination). My daughter's GF chicken strips and fries were served on a very small tray next to a regular burger plate. If you go there, I suggest ordering a celiac meal as a separate order from anything else and monitoring the kitchen staff (it's on open kitchen).
The chicken fingers are incredible. If you're celiac/GF I highly recommend getting them. Also, the veggie burgers are pretty great too. Make sure to talk to the manager every time if you have Celiac.
I loved the chicken club on the gluten-free bun.
I was just told that they mix wheat buns with gluten free buns. The manager assured me that if you order the burger without the bun the grill alone is safe. Celiacs be careful. So it's kinda sorta Celiac Friendly. Best to talk with the manager every time.
Chicken fingers were yummy, but nothing, fast about this place even though it's set up like a fast food restaurant. Fries are McDonald's style. Ranch dressing I paid extra for was only half full. Good option for kids.
Loved the gluten free chicken fingers and chips with a chocolate milkshake! Yum
Love it! Food came very quick and it was delicious! The service is very careful and friendly! If you're looking for quick food that's not fast food, it's right here. Very good for lunch!
I loved this place! Great burgers and fries!
Excellent! They even let me look at the ingredients for the gluten free buns! I got the cheese burger with fries, and all I felt afterwards was full. It was seriously delicious.
Wow! My classic burger was SO GOOD! And my wife loved her gluten free fish and chips. She wants to go back today for the same thing. Where else can you get safe battered fish?
Loved it! Even my non gluten free daughter proclaimed the gluten free fish and chips her favorite. My celiac daughter had chicken fingers and fries and loved it. I ordered a salad that was super yummy. Three of us, all happy, which I have to say is unusual with two teenage girls that can't agree on ANYTHING. Best of all was that it was reasonably priced. Dinner for three of us was $40, which is unheard of in NYC. We'll definitely be back!
We had the best meals here. My Celiac son proclaimed the chicken tenders the best he's ever had! Don't be scared by the lack of GF menu...
Separate menu available behind the counter to tell you what is gluten free. GF hamburger buns available, so all the burgers can be GF. They use a gluten free batter for their chicken fingers and fish&chips, as well as dedicated fryer for those things and their fries. Loved that my GF daughter's chicken fingers was the exact same as my non-GF daughter's chicken. The fish&chips were amazing - not soggy like some I've had. Some other GF items included fish tacos on corn tortillas.
shocked, but have to say this was delicious and had no adverse effects- batter is corn-based so if you have an issue with corn this place may still be an issue. No dedicated kitchen area with some of their sandwich dishes scares me a bit too.
Happy to find this place - ask for gluten free menu. Order at the counter fast food place. Would be great for kids too.
I love the chicken fingers and fries, they have become my safe food at work. I am a bit afraid of the burgers because of cross contamination. I do not think they have a GF menu, you just have to ask.
Really good food! Staff was friendly and they have a good variety of gluten free. I had the fish and chips and they were excellent. Definitely recommend.
Terrible quality food. Lettuce mostly rotten on salad. Chicken was burned!! Yes there are some GF options but food isn't good for anyone to eat!!
Dedicated fryer for sweet potato fries and chicken tenders. They also have gluten free buns. Very good. I go almost every day.
My six-year-old excitedly gives this five stars! Grown-up palates may be less enthusiastic but the location is convenient and food is rather good! I had fish tacos, the rest of our group had chicken fingers and fries (GF). Very knowledgeable and for the first time eating out, we felt like GF was a non-issue! There were only a few empty spots on the Monday afternoon when we visited, but our food came quickly and correctly. We will certainly return! If you have a child who needs to avoid gluten, or if you're GF and with mixed ages, this is really a great spot to eat.
Bad food prep practices. My gluten free bun was toasted and prepped with wheat hamburger buns. Asked for no sauce, saw guy start to put some on then use his fingers to scrape off.
Loved the sweet potato fries. Had a burger w gluten free bun.
The best gluten free bun I have ever had! The fries are gluten free too and very yummy.
They were amazing! When we walked through the door we were greeted, the staff went overboard to make us comfortable the burgers are made when you order& they gluten free buns. The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had. The bathroom s were clean also. Will go back next time we go to NYC!!
Went with the advice of others and skipped out on a gluten free bun so I went with the chicken fingers. They were tasty but the staff was a little rude about answering cross contamination questions. Either way, I didn’t get sick and enjoyed it!
The chicken fingers were fantastic! They're breaded in corn flour and fried. They're the only ones they offer, so there wasn't a risk of cross contamination. The fries were good too! It was nice to eat the exact thing my husband ordered and her liked the fingers too! I would definitely go back.
The cashier was totally baffled when I asked him about contamination, but I checked out their fryers (you can see it when you're ordering) and incredibly, despite all the gluten chilling out around here, those chicken fingers really *are* gluten-free. They're one of those chains that starts getting dodgy when you ask questions ("if you have a severe allergy, you shouldn't take a chance...maybe don't eat here..."), but the fries and chicken fingers are made in a separate fryer and don't seem to come into contact with the gluten-containing buns. And perhaps more importantly, it's totally delicious! I felt like a kid again. I've returned several times and I certainly plan on continuing.
was really skeptical walking into here as it looked like a gluten overload with all the burgers, sandwiches, fried food, etc. but they really did shock me. Once I told the register girls what I was allergic to they were more than accommodating. Sandwich was so delicious I basically inhaled it. It's corn-based which still affects me a tiny but but totally worth it. Getting the chicken fingers and fries next time. One note- not sure they change gloves when handling GF sensitive food so I can't list this as celiac friendly.
The girl I placed my order with forgot to tell the kitchen I had ordered gluten-free, so the first hamburger arrived in a normal bun. It was sorted eventually and the food was delicious but you need to make sure they put the order through correctly
