Very limited GF options and note the French fries have a dedicated fryer but the oil is “filtered” and reused so likely cross contamination will occur if you have sensitive celiac. So I would caution if you order anything fried even if claimed to be GF. The beer is currently only gluten removed so again not GF. Food was OK and place is fun. Overall limited but decent options. I had the turkey burger but had to opt for mashed potatoes instead of fries.

Gluten free beer (Daura DAMM) is available (although not shown on menu) . And so many “gluten free available” options! Server confirmed there’s a separate frialator for GF items, so I was able to have French fries!

They had a separate fryer dedicated to GF, gluten free options listed on the menu and gluten free beer!! The server was very nice and the food was okay, but I’m giving 5 stars because of their celiac friendly options.

Gluten free lobster roll available but it came on a hamburger roll that was not toasted or warm. My husband had a regular lobster roll and it had 3 times the amount of lobster. If you are gonna serve a gf lobster roll it should be on a gf hot dog bun. GF selzer was good. Service was TERRIBLE.

I explained an allergy - they advertise gluten free - we talked with the waitress all about it - the bun I was served was not gluten free - I realized after eating it - the manager apologized but as you know - once you eat it - there is nothing to make it better. Be very careful if you are celiac!!!

Numerous GF options!! Even clam chowder which was delicious!
Yes
It was very difficult finding something to eat here. I have a dairy allergy too and even though they have gf bread, it is not dairy free. The only option was a salad. I had a rather unappealing looking salad - it was very disappointing when it was brought out to me.
Very good! Wish they had gf French fries in a dedicated fryer. Great gf menu tho!!
Yes
Celiac friendly. Great GF menu. No reaction. Have been twice during summer vacation without any problems!
Yes
I appreciated that they have a GF menu, and was actually able to order clam chowder, which was good. I also ordered their GF pizza, which was clearly frozen and not worth the money. It came undercooked and was very disappointing.
My friend got a burger and said it was good but the other two meals we got were not great.
The gluten free menu is a completely separate menu, so ask for it right when you go in! I was really surprised by the amount of options they had. I will definitely be going back. I had the blackened haddock sandwich. SO good. It came on an udis bun.
Yes
Had the gluten free blacked haddock sandwich and the bread was the best i have had. The waitress was very cautious as well and alerted me when things weren't gluten free. I had tater tots from the fryer and didn't get sick if you aren't celiac that is a good choice too!
Sea Dog is a good GF option for lunch or dinner, I usually end up getting a burger. I think they use Udi's buns and they've always been accommodating when it comes to prep methods, in my experience.
I think I just got a bad night, but I had food off of the gluten free men

I was very excited to see they had a gluten free menu with alot of choices. I had the clam chowder and blackened cod sandwich. chowder was awesome and if you like spicey that cod will do it! only reason I didnt give 4 stars was the waitress we had wasnt very friendly.
Yes
Decent gluten free menu with diverse options from a lobster roll to salads and dessert. The server was not up to speed on his gluten free options though. So definitely ask questions if you need to. The food was good and we found something for everyone
Yes
Great lobster roll sandwich! I'm on the road weekly and it is hard to find good gluten free restaurants.
I visit Maine every year and always stop here first. They have a fantastic gluten free menu and I have never had a reaction. A+!
I was a little worried coming, seeing the reviews, but it was okay and I felt fine eating it- and I am extremely sensitive. Waitress was knowledgeable, BUT you need to ask the specific questions she was not very forthcoming with talking about allergies, even though she asked when we sat down if anyone had one. I just got clam chowder since it was gf in general and there were not separate gluten and non gluten versions

I’ve had the Greek salad with chicken a few times this summer and did not get sick. Knowing they aren’t the most careful I stick with things that are typically naturally gf, ie salad. The patio by the river is really nice.

They have GF items clearly marked on the menu which was nice. Server seemed knowledgeable, but my salad came out with croutons on it and my moms lobster roll came out on a regular bun. We questioned both right away and the server immediately corrected it and apologized. She said there was a new chef that had just started.

I was looking for somewhere close by to take a loved one to eat following a procedure and found this place. I was assured the clam chowder was gluten free after I let my waitress know I was a celiac so I just ordered that and a side salad. I have been sick ever since I left. I do not believe this is a safe establishment for anyone with celiac disease.
