GF marked items are made in the same fryer as other food. Great food, service, and options but ask the server to make sure that your order is GF even if it is marked as GF on the menu.

Nice restaurant that can cater to most GF needs. We ate there to celebrate our anniversary. I had the rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach with fruit sorbet for dessert. Confirmed the au jus was GF (since it so often isn’t). The service, ambiance and view were amazing. Food was good, but maybe not great for the price. Tummy felt fine (I have celiac). Would go here again.

Food was good, however, they marked items made in the same fryer with gluten food as GF on the menu. I HATE that. I am very reactive. Otherwise casual vibe. I had lamb chops and risotto did not get sick.

I didn’t feel like any of the fancy lunch menu items labeled as GF so I ordered a Caesar salad no croutons with the catch of the day which was Mahi. It was super fresh and a decent portion. Nothing crazy fancy but hit the spot for a light lunch. My husband had the seafood chowder also labeled as GF. I rarely trust chowder soups for fear of Roux but I had quite a few bites and no reaction. It was excellent and I wish I was brave enough to do a whole bowl! The spicy tequila drink was not spicy at all. The view cannot be beat from the patio. Go before 2:00 to avoid the happy hour menu which seemingly doesn’t have any GF options.

Menu was marked incorrectly (ex. marked croutons as gf which we verified as not and also the crispy onions as gf also verified as not). There’s already only a handful of options on the menu that are safe. Waiter tried to convince us it was ok and that the menu just needs corrections. I felt so unsafe I just ordered a drink and watched my family eat. I honestly wish the reviews for this place didn’t rate it so highly when they say in their comments that they got sick or that the only thing even remotely acceptable is breakfast, which doesn’t have any markings on the menu. Just be mindful when/if you come here. I wouldn’t recommend it for celiacs.

We went there for dinner. The sunset view was beautiful! They did have GF next to items to help order. There were only a few entrees and little substitutes. They would take the macadamia nut crust off, but the waiter said it would probably not have much flavor (mahi mahi). I chose the filet mignon. It came with mashed potatoes and some bland broccoli.
It’s an expensive place!

We had breakfast here a few times. They were able to make things GF for me and had some items on the menu that were naturally gluten free. I got sick on one of the days eating here though. The waitress I don’t think understood what I was saying. She after told me there was no butter in the dish…. Maybe she thought celiac was a dairy allergy? I would go back again I think I just had misinformed waitress.

They had some gluten-free options marks on their menu. Other items can be made gluten-free but are not marked on their menu. They do not have A separate fryer. I had the shrimp and rice for breakfast one day and they substituted tamarin for the soy sauce and it was really delicious. Not lots of options for gluten-free on the lunch menu. Never went there for dinner.

The menu is different than posted online and the staff is not yet certain on what is safe. The staff was very kind and worked hard to please us. We ate safely but there are better options on Maui.
Yes
Menu had changed. Not as many options. GF friendly but beware.
Yes
The meal was delicious and the view is incredible. GF options for pancakes and a few other items on the menu. Definitely recommend.

Went to get the GF custard pancake and was told their oven was broken... I could just get regular pancakes when it clearly stated on the menu they could not be made gluten free. She didn’t understand what the big deal was so we walked out.
Celiac daughter loved her seafood dinner!
We ate dinner here. The menu has changed significantly from the one posted on here. The accommodations for making the food gluten free rendered the food bland and tasteless. The server also behaved as though we were a hassle. She was not educated on gluten, telling us that “all ice cream is gluten free” with a rude attitude. And I am sick from my dinner. 😕
No
Great GF pancakes and the tried some of the omelette too! Items on the main menu were clearly marked GF and while they couldn’t guarantee 100% safety, the waiter assured me they clean their utensils and cookware prior to making GF items.

Just returned for breakfast and highly recommend the GF Haleakala pancake, GF buttermilk pancakes, GF All American Breakfast, and the GF PELE Potatoes. We got GF of each so my son could try everything. Since the Haleakala pancake takes awhile to cook, we asked for the PELE potatoes to come out first (like a breakfast appetizer) and they were amazing. All portions were great. Just use the web to find their updated menu offerings and the link here on this app is out of date. So many breakfasts options! Can’t wait to come back!
My family visited for New Years Eve and was delighted. We enjoyed the GF versions carpaccio and rack of lamb and wished we'd saved room for the GF flourless chocolate cake! Our meals were absolutely delicious and the setting was lovely. The menus are clearly marked with GF options. We'll be back!

We ate here and thought it was great! Server was pretty educated letting me know the Truffle Fries don't have their own fryer but everything else is kept separate. I had the asparagus and risotto. My hubby had mahi mahi, he said it was great and although he didn't have it gluten free it could have been made that way. I chose not to have fish or any meat just due to being pregnant and not feeling like meat but if I wanted fish or steak they had several gf options.
Very happy to see that all of their pancakes were available gluten free. We've enjoyed this restaurant for years, and now that we have a gluten tolerant member of the family, we love it more!
amazing 😍 such a wonderful place on the beach with gluten free/diary free options!
Yes
Delicious and very knowledgeable staff. The pele potatoes were very flavorful. The Haleakala pancake was amazing and huge!!!! The menu is well marked. ... note we returned two days later and the waiter advised the pele potatoes are fried in a mutual fryer. I didn't have a reaction the first time but wouldn't chance it. Besides who needs potatoes when you have the Haleakala pancake!!
Yes
The staff was very knowledgeable but we had an unfortunate incident with my son who is not celiac. He was served a raw shrimp and ended up with food poisoning. More than 6 hours of vomitting and diarrhea and then ended up in the hospital for 5 hours to receive 4 IV bags.

This place is amazing! We are staying at the resort on site, and have had breakfast, happy hour and dinner so far. Very clear menu for what is gluten free, it's all delicious and the staff is great. I have had no cross contamination reactions!
Yes
We went there to have the clam chowder that was gf. To our surprise, it's only on the happy hour menu. On the dinner menu, it said the truffle fries were gf...guess what, the same fryer is used for everything. We were disappointed on both items.
The level of care our server took with us was exceptional! The manager went out and got us apple juice and gluten free bread for the kids because they had nothing on hand. She told us which items on the menu would be safe and which to stay away from and was beyond knowledgeable about Celiac Disease. We were so impressed and our non gluten free family that dined with us loved there meals as well. Highly recommend.

We live across the street and love this place! I have Celiac Disease and the gluten free Haleakala pancake is my favorite! Not a lot of appetizer options for me since I don't eat fish.
My husband & I ate here during the Christmas & New Year holidays, when there was a special menu, so the usual GF items weren't available. But half the menu was still OK, and the food was very good. The restaurant is at a resort, near beach level, so it's a bit of a walk with stairs from the parking lot.
Ahi Appetizer and catch of the day were amazing. Waitress was helpful. The srirachi aoli and wasabi sauce made the meals.
Yes
Amazing gluten free menu for breakfast. The chocolate macadamia nut pancakes were delicious.

Loved this place! We sat at the bar outside and watched the beautiful sunset while enjoying our Ahi Tuna, Caprese Salad and shared an entree of the Hawaiian fish. I am also severely allergic to shellfish and they were more than willing to accommodate!! Highly recommend this place!! Food was fantastic!
We had a great breakfast and happy hour/late lunch there, but I would PASS on going to dinner there. Overpriced and lacking in quality. The best part about my crab stuffed shrimp was the mashed potatoes (and there wasn't much), the crab wasn't very fresh and tasted funny and the shrimp was chewy and over cooked. It's not worth the money for their dinner, BUT we did really enjoy our breakfasts there so all is not lost in this place(maybe they need a new dinner chef?)
Yes
Excellent selection of gluten free items. The Haleakala Pancake is incredible! They have a completely separate menu for GF and seemed very knowledgeable. 😄
Yes
We've had breakfast here twice during our 2 week stay on Maui. I cannot commend the chef. & menu planner enough. I've twice enjoyed the fluffy baked banana pancake even though there were many other options on my GF menu. My husbands Thai crab omelette was also superb & full of real crab. Unlike many restaurants touted as gluten free/celiac friendly, this place really is geared to serve us with helpful servers & delicious options for all meals including happy hour (tomorrow). Prices are about the same s we would pay in Portland and on the lower end of average for Hawaii. The view to beach & sea were icing on the cake. Aloha!
Ate here for the second time on our second trip to Maui. Great GF options with a dedicated menu. Banana pancakes were awesome. The sweet potato frittata was also amazing!! Amazing view. Price was reasonable. Go see the bartender Darlene, she gives great snorkel advice!
Yes
Staff were not knowledgable about gluten free options. The food was ok, but slightly overpriced and the service was a little slow.
Went just to have dessert and it was definitely worth the drive. Beautiful view!
Yes
We went there at the last minute for our anniversary dinner & they rolled out the red carpet! The view is to die for & the GF menu has many delicious choices! The staff gets an A+ as well! We will be back for sure!
The breakfast was amazing and you seriously can't beat the view!! I had the chocolate macadamia nut pancakes and they were to die for. Huge portion and reasonably priced for Hawaii.
Big (and tasty!) GF menu. Food was a little more than I would hope, but the seafood was cooked to perfection and the outdoor/open air location on the bay can't be beat! Try to get there for the early bird if you can!
awesome!!!! I want to come back just to go here!!!!!
Yes
Beautiful setting overlooking the beach. Good service, too. Last night , my husband and I had the early bird sunset dinner. Great value at $32 each including salad, entree and dessert. We both had the mixed plate that was a small sirloin in an herb sauce and Mahi Mahi with shrimp scampi on top. The garlic mashed potatoes were to die for, steak was tender and the fish fresh, however the sauces were pretty bland. For $3 I upgraded to the Toasted Coconut Creme Brûlée; I nearly licked the plate it was so good! But, it gets better: we came back for breakfast this morning and both had the Haleakala Pancakes. It is a baked custard pancake with caramelized brown sugar, cinnamon pineapple and banana. Oh MY! Fabulous!!
Awesome gluten free menu and very nice staff!
