This is the most amazing place ever. You eat it and you will wonder how it can be gluten free. I’ve taken 3 gluten lovers there and they couldn’t believe it was gluten free. I don’t know how Sebastien does it, but he is by far the best gluten free baker ever in the history of the universe.
My only complaint is that I gain weight every time I visit 🤣
Absolutely delightful and divine pastries here! Flaky ones, soft (choquettes), sugary and cinnamony (cinnamon scroll), the perfect savoury balance with flaky pastry layers (spinach and feta feuille). Fabulous coffee to compliment. 100% gluten free BAKERY....with DELICATE PASTRIES! .. that taste GOOOOOOD. 100% recommend getting here to have in store (lovely seating area to enjoy coffee and sweets/savouries) but also takeaway these delicious and delightful pastries! I did! (easy to get here by bus from the CBD).
I got a fantastic experience at Sébastien’s on 24th of January. I had a delicious Ham & Cheese Croissant 🥐 which made me believe that there is a hope for gluten free croissant. I met Sébastien for a short chat. He is such a pleasant, honest and knowledgeable person and patissier. There is no doubt that he puts huge work og love in his “metier”. The fruit loaf is a dream and that comes from me who does not like dried fruits in bread or cakes 😄. And the place is very cosy in a charming area of Sidney. One of the best gluten-free experiences ever.🙏❣
What an amazing bakery!!
Sebastian came out and chatted to me personally, and showed a real interest in my coeliac journey. The pastries.. oh my god absolutely delicious. I haven’t had a croissant in over a year and his ham and cheese croissant was amazing. Would definitely return is I was ever in Sydney again. A definite must do for coeliacs.
The most amazing gluten free bakery I have been to anywhere (and I have been to a lot all over the world). I had a ham and cheese croissant and the lamination was unreal. Everything is phenomenal! We also met Sebastien and you can tell that he strives to be the best that he can be at his craft not to mention he is extremely personable and charming. I wish I lived closer!
Drove 45 minutes to go there and I thought it was very much worth it. Loved the local feel and the friendliness of the staff, I grabbed (and recommend) the eggplant & hummus croissant (it’s not often you can find something GF and experimental!) and the feta puff pastry - the texture was so crispy & flakey. Otherwise a good range of pastries, including all the favourites plus some really cool out-there ones. Will be back!
Having hunted out all types of gf pastries across Europe in the last year (Paris, Rome, London to name a few) nothing comes close to Sebastian’s. I have sampled a lot, and I don’t know if you’d be able to find better gf baked treats in the world. I have yet to find pastry as flakey, delicious and as close to the original as this. Could not recommend more - it’s a must visit for any coeliac living in or visiting Sydney.
