Shake Shack

I’ve ordered the gluten free bun a couple of times and they’ve given me the wrong burger. Be careful here.

Staff at the Rosecrans location were excellent and made sure my burger and shake were prepared with precautions for Celiac disease. The gluten free bun is super yummy! Fries are off limits for celiac but I found this location especially accommodating within the chain’s limitations.

While they have a GF bun for their hamburger and I didn’t have a reaction- the food was bland. The only way we could eat the fries was coated in ketchup to cover the freezer burn. Even the soda was watered down and tasted like poorly flavored bubbly water.

I feel safe here. The burgers are as good as I’ve had, even though they’re thin. I have never had such delicious gluten free buns-no off taste and normal texture. I asked and they’re Italian Bakery brand. Separate fryer for the fries, though they are designated “gluten friendly”. Food was brought out separately and server specifically stated it was gluten free. Staff seemed knowledgeable. I only get burger and fries here so I can’t speak to other items.

I’ve always found them to be really good about allergies here. They seem to take them seriously and I’ve never gotten sick, even when it’s busy! The gf buns are really good. They don’t have a dedicated fryer though.
