When I called for “call ahead seating” the host with whom I spoke engendered confidence with his knowledge of cross contact and the list of items available gluten free (gluten free flat bread, gluten free buns for sliders and most items available to be modified, with understanding of careful handling in the kitchen). While there, the waiter took great care of us and I spoke with the owner. He said that it’s been easy for them to make most items gluten free since it’s less processed and drives them to fresh ingredients. This is a busy, popular restaurant on a Saturday evening in a charming suburb of Buffalo. We were lucky to get a corner spot with some distance from other patrons, as NY just dropped mask mandates. There is no distancing of tables and a busy bar. We felt well taken care of by a very friendly staff and owner and would most definitely return. The flatbread steak and ricotta was delicious as was the blackened shrimp tacos. We complemented it with a spinach salad. As an interesting aside, their one-pound meatball is also gluten free. I can’t wait to try it on a future visit if I travel to this area again.

While there was no set gluten free menu, hostess and waiter were able to tell me which foods were safe. When I informed them of my celiac, they said they would change pans and gloves. They were honest and said I shouldn’t get anything fried as it was a a cc risk. I was impressed with their knowledge! I had a mahi mahi taco and grilled asparagus.
