I wouldn’t call this 100% safe for Celiacs but it’s not a place we would avoid either. The manager came out and was very knowledgeable about the difference about Celiac and people trying to avoid gluten. Their chips, wings and anything fried are all done in the same fryers. So, stay away from those. However, there is a smoked tuna appetizer that you can do with sliced cucumber instead of the tortilla chips. That was really good. Also, we did the oysters and steamed veggies. The manager made sure it was all done correctly. If you go here differently ask for a manager. Ours was very helpful and we had no issues.
The buffalo wing appetizer is labeled GF, but the server informed me that they are fried in a shared fryer. Although, they do have grilled fish and shrimp and informed the chef of my allergy to avoid cross contamination. Just make sure you ask questions before ordering something even if it is labeled GF.
They have good seafood options and the menu clearly lists “GF” next to options that are gluten free. I had the traditional oysters and crab legs. My stomach did hurt after I ate. Not sure if I was glutened or if it was the oysters as I had never had them before. I would go again.
I had a great experience here. Menu items that are gluten free have a GF next to them on the regular menu. Their website does not have GF items marked. I had the Grouper Imperial. It was delicious, and I did not get sick! Other items included salads, oysters, blackened grouper, tuna, and mahi mahi.
