Server knowledgeable & many dishes can be modified to be GF. Great hummus and falafel.

Absolutely amazing. Servers were very knowledgeable (shout out to Brooke and the chefs in the back!), and made me feel super safe. There’s a lot of gf options, and they were able to accommodate almost all of the other dishes too!

Went here 2 nights in a row. First time we had a knowledgeable waiter who told us exactly what was GF or not. Second night, we had a goofball waiter who had no idea what celiac disease was and made us feel uneasy even though we already had a good experience the night before. They also charge a ridiculous $7 for small veggie plate for scooping up hummus. This is ridiculous because the pita is absolutely free. If you expect to share hummus with more than a couple people, expect to pay even more for multiple plates.

Have frequented shaya with no issue, but today our waiter had absolutely no idea what gluten even was. “You can eat pasta right? “ he assured me he told the kitchen we needed all our food GF. should not have trusted him and have been glutened. Seemed to not care whatsoever about what could or couldn’t get us very sick

Nothing is marked but I always get the hummus with vegetables instead of pita and have never had any issues here.

Staff were very aware of gluten issues and what was and wasn’t gluten free on the menu. Most of the menu is naturally gluten free.

The food is delicious!! Nothing is marked, but almost all of the menu is available gluten free. Instead of fresh baked pita they served the dips with fresh vegetables. An assortment of radishes carrots, cucumbers, peppers and cauliflower. Really enjoyed the meal here.

We can not say enough about this Magazine St. gem!! It’s a must visit on the New Orleans “foodie list”! Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. They offer plenty of gluten-free options. Most of their menu is naturally gluten free. I got the chicken thigh & leg with aromatic rice and my husband (who is not gluten-free) got the slow-cooked brisket with roasted zucchini. Both were gluten-free and we were able to share. One aware that the oil they serve with the pita bread has gluten. But the baba gam ouch and hummus were both gluten-free and can be served with fresh veggies!

There is not a gluten-free menu and the menu isn’t labeled but the server was knowledgeable and accommodating about both celiac and food allergies.
