They have a GF menu. Had the GF fried seafood platter. Delicious! And I wasn't gluttoned! The GF menu is extensive. All fried food is fried in cornmeal flour. I have eaten here several times and have never gotten sick. The owner is GF.

Large menu. Great flavor. However, no dedicated fryer. Therefor, everything fried on GF menu is not GF.

The lunch tuna. I was a little disappointed because I asked for double green beans instead of the mashed potatoes since I also do not eat dairy and was told I could not get that during lunch it had to come standard. I asked for the mashed potatoes on the side then and they came out under the tuna. There was lettuce separating it, but I would have preferred not to have it in my plate.

NOT Celiac safe!!!!! My daughter, who has Celiac, order the fried shrimp off the gluten free menu. I asked hostess AND waiter to make sure there was a dedicated fryer to which the answer was yes. Only corn flour and buttermilk go in fryers and shrimp battered in same. My daughter was sick within an hour after eating. Up all night and now headed to urgent care on our vacation!

We eat at Shipps Harbour all the time and their gf menu is one of the best I've ever seen although I've never ordered any of the fried items.

Shipp's Harbour has quite a large gf menu, unfortunately half of it contains fried items that are not fried in a dedicated fryer. These items should be removed from the gf menu and it makes me wonder what else is inaccurately labeled gf. I had the grouper with coconut sauce. It came with a side salad, mashed potatoes and green beans. It was very tasty, but I'd proceed with caution at Shipps.

Daughter with celiac ordered fried shrimp off the gluten free menu and immediately had bad stomach and headache before we even left the restaurant. We didn't ask if they used a dedicated fryer so maybe that's the problem. I assumed that when I told them she had celiac and the waitress said she told the chef that it would be ok. But guess not. Will be the last visit there! Will stick with grilled shrimp at Cobalts or Shrimp Basket!

One of the worst restaurants that I have ever gone to. Food was fast food quality at best, service was horrendous, and I am not sure they have heard the words "Gluten Free". GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO EAT.

Excellent gluten free menu options although the server didn't really seem like he knew what gluten free was? I think they could better educate the staff on the food allergies. My dish was absolutely delicious, the tuna!

The menu was expansive, with many options. Except half of it was fried, so the menu wasn't really gluten free unfortunately... I asked the staff about cross-contamination, and they all became wide eyed. They barely knew what gluten free even meant. The manager just said, "Oh the kitchen knows what they're doing." I got sautéed crab claws which weren't bad and I wasn't glutened. I don't suggest going to this place.

I had a miserable experience. The server pointed out two things on the menu that I could eat-a filet and the blackened mahi-mahi. I chose the mahi mahi but it was horrible. It was not cooked, didn't flake. The server took it back, obviously stuck it in the microwave and it was like rubber. Two of the other people had steaks that they sent back because they were overcooked. Server did not offer to do anything about my fish. I paid $$$ to eat the mashed potatoes and the green beans. Confident that they don't know anything about gluten free

What a delight to find a new gfree restaurant after the Christmas boat parade. I had blackened duck that words can NOT express the flavors the chef created. Perfection. We had a ball sitting outside and enjoying our evening. My parents are coming into town this weekend-guess where I will be taking them?!?

This place has a fantastic water-front view with outdoor seating. The food is equally wonderful and the chef is more than glad to provide safe, gluten-free accommodations. I recommend calling ahead to speak with the chef.
