I was excited to try this place based on reviews, but I just called ahead to double check about their cross contamination practices and they are not safe for those with celiac or a severe allergy. The person I spoke to on the phone told me they only have gluten free pancakes and waffles (so not a huge GF selection) and that they cook them on the same cook top/surface as their regular food. Definitely not celiac friendly :(

Did not disappoint! Breakfast place off the beaten path in Saratoga Springs frequented by locals. Many breakfast GF options on menu including waffles, pancakes and eggs Benedict over potatoes.

This place has been around for over 50 years. We have been there many times before having to go gluten free. New owners came 4 years ago. We took a chance and stopped in for breakfast and boy were we surprised. In addition to GF pancakes they also have french toast, waffles, maple banana pancakes, oatmeal, several omelets etc. We had poached eggs on grilled tomatoes & spinach over potato pancakes & topped with hollandaise sauce. For under $10! It was delicious! They also have several items for lunch ranging from chili & soup to grilled chicken, fries, and a large variety of salads. Fast, friendly service, great food, great prices. We are very happy to be able to go here again. Highly recommend Shirley's.
