They do not have a gluten free menu, but they were very helpful in working with me to find options. Obviously anything with soy sauce or ponzu sauce contains gluten as well as anything fried. Most raw rolls and sushi are ok, just check with sauces. The white fish sushi comes with ponzu sauce on top, but they can easily leave it off. They do have gluten free soy sauce available, so just ask.
Well taken care of and delicious food. They have gluten free soy sauce so they can make all the hibachi gluten free. However, depending on the chefs comfort level they may make it in the back to prevent cc. The onion soup and the two salad dressings are NOT gluten free, neither are the two dipping sauces. They do have gf sushi as well although we didn’t try it this time.
My boyfriend was craving hibachi and I saw reviews about this location that they were good with gluten free. I told my waitress that I was gluten free and she just smirked and gave a slight chuckle saying I was the first on there ever with that issue. She told me to just label as gluten allergy so the chef would understand. I got steamed rice and chicken. Our chef did cook my food on the same hibachi surface with a gluten free sauce that taste just like the regular, but did cook it separately from the others. Normally I'm way more cautious and don't eat if it was this situation since I am celiac, but something told me to just go for it. I ate it and didn't get sick. So symptoms what's so ever and I'm extremely sensitive. It may have been that the surface was so hot and when he scraped the surface it cleaned it well enough. Needless to say... GO WITH CAUTION. This is not my first choice and I would say I was lucky with that visit. My chef was great and very understanding and took as much caution as he could.
