Ate here twice during our stay and had great experiences. Both servers we had were wonderful and made excellent recommendations. I had the pan seared grouper, grilled shrimp, and the ribeye without issues. The ribeye did come with a sauce that was made with wheat, so that was left off. They offered to replace it with a red wine butter but it was delicious enough on its own. I felt safe eating here.
My husband and I came here after researching gluten friendly restaurants in the area. There was a gluten free menu that had several exciting options, including crab cakes and pasta. We specifically chose this restaurant for that reason. When we arrived, we found out the new chef got rid of the whole gluten free menu. I was so disappointed. We decided to stay and I ordered the scallop appetizer and a salad. Both were disappointing. The $15 salad was nothing but a bowl of lettuce with a few slivers of apple and pecans. The scallop dish was so salty, it was difficult to eat. On a positive note, there is a beautiful view when seated outside. Also, Maria was a wonderful server. She was very attentive, friendly and apologetic about the lack of gluten free menu options. She did bring me a gluten free chocolate cake to take home, and that was very good. My husband did have the parpadelle pasta, and he said it was pretty good. I do hope the new chef reconsiders the menu. It seemed to have good reviews, but based on this meal, I can’t imagine it will stay that way.
We have eaten here several times during our stay! I have had the lettuce wrapped burger, the lobster mac and cheese, and my son had the GF chicken tenders with fries. Everything was great . They did ask if it was an “allergy” or a preference. I have CD, so definitely not a preference ! 😁
I went to this restaurant for breakfast and felt confident based on these reviews. I ordered an omelette and confirmed with the server that it would be made GF. He also arranged for GF toast. I confirmed that it would be toasted in a separate area. He said it would be toasted under the broiler. My omelette arrived and was tasty. I saw the oven rack makes on the toast from the broiler and hesitated wondering about cross contamination. I decided to skip the hash browns and toast in a abundance of caution. Unfortunately, my efforts were not enough because I was glutened. It could have only been from the omelette... perhaps a shared pan or utensil in the kitchen. I’m very disappointed.
I cannot find the words to describe this place- absolutely outstanding. First thing our waiter asked us is how severe my gluten intolerance is- allergy, sensitivity, or celiac disease. I was blown away. This place goes above and beyond to ensure you are taken care of. I have been hospitalized many times from gluten and for someone so extremely sensitive, this was a real treat! I would recommend this place to the most severe celiac. My husband and I cannot wait to come back. It's well worth the price- the food is simply phenomenal!
Food was amazing (quite expensive though!) However I'm shocked everyone else has ranked this as 100% Celiac Friendly. I watched at the cooks bare handed (yes NO gloves worn!) grab handfuls of pasta, throw it into a pot then move on to grab the next ingredient for another meal. The waiter did tell me he told them about my allergy so hopefully it wasn't my food they prepared next (although I never saw them wash their hands, just simply wipe them off on a rag).
Great gluten free toast but gf lobster mac and cheese was a bit tasteless so safe but just not great
Maybe the most educated staff about GF I've found, in Florida. They can convert ALMOST anything on the menu. Dedicated fryer. Server William S was completely aware of the difference between sensitive and free. Had Lobster mac n cheese. Boom! Several GF apps: Fried oysters Seared scallops Good bread Best on Clearwater Beach, and we've tried almost everything.
No designated GF menu but the our server was very knowledgable and went over the menu with me. I enjoyed the blackened grouper with sweet potato purée and brocollini. DELICIOUS!!!!!.
No gf menú but ate here twice in 1 week because the Food is so good. i just asked the Server If the entree i wanted was gf. expensive but worth it
Excellent service! Chef was very knowledgeable about gluten and wheat intolerances. While they did not have a gluten free menu, they were happy to adjust any dish to be gluten free. On top of that, there are wonderful views and a menu with many options. They also had a flourless chocolate torte that was awesome. I'm so glad we chose to come here!
