Used to work here, never got sick but the options are extremely limited and overpriced. Owners are not good people. DO not recommend.

I walked into Short Stack, said that I had celiac disease, and was literally shown the door. The cashier’s exact words were, “I can’t do celiac,” as she pointed towards the door. She was very clear that the gluten free items on the menu are for folks who are electively gluten free or have only mild intolerances - that they have a small kitchen, flour is always flying everywhere, and they cannot protect against cross-contact. I should note that the restaurant was nearly empty when I went (maybe two other customers at most) and it was nowhere near closing time, so there weren’t any obvious extenuating circumstances.
To be clear, I would much rather they be honest than end up sick. But it was still startling how abrupt they were. Short Stack was one of my favorite places pre-celiac. I am sorry I will not be able to enjoy them going forward.

I celebrated my birthday with brunch at the short stack!! I explained to the cashier I had celiac disease and that my reaction to gluten was serious. I ordered the GF chocolate chip short stack of pancakes, a side of bacon and a lavender weather alcoholic - she made a note to the kitchen and I felt great for the entirety of the day! No reactions or trouble at all and I’m a highly sensitive celiac :-)

Walked in and was greeted by Mackenzie (hope I’m spelling her name right..) who had the BEST energy. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and exactly the energy that ANY business would be lucky to have as an employee. AAA+++ 10/10 service
Everything took a complete 180 turn when I stepped to the kitchen window to ask the chefs about the safety for a Celiac to eat the pancakes/food here.. (if they use separate cooking areas, pans, utensils.. etc) , the kitchen staff was MORE than friendly and helpful.. AAA+++ 10/10 service
However… while in the middle of talking to the kitchen staff through the window about my Celiac concerns - out of nowhere I was RUDELY approached by the manager, Chloe, who quite possibly had the worst attitude I have came I have came across in a business/restaurant in a VERY long time. With complete and total lack of respect for me as a person/customer in general, told me it was unacceptable and NOT OK to talk to the kitchen staff about my allergy concerns. When I say rudely, I actually almost left because of how horrible her attitude was towards me and towards my allergy concerns in general… 0/10 - (worse than mall food court attitude/service)
If it wasn’t for Mackenzie and the kitchen staff being so great - I would have left and never return to Short Stack.

The GF pancakes were good enough. They originally got my order wrong (still GF). VERY overpriced. Would only go again if I had to.

I went here once a couple years back because my friends were meeting there. Since I also have an egg allergy, there were few options. Ended up with a tiny scoop of hash browns, a couple of strips of bacon, and a small handful of lettuce, all for like $16 before tip. Was so hungry afterwards :(

They only have one type of gf pancakes so don’t go thinking it’s likes a gf ihop. The pancakes were great and I didn’t get sick.
