What a gem! Amazing to have a GF tea experience that also accommodates dairy and nut allergies too! And accommodating is done with ease and no fuss so those with allergies feel comfortable. Savory and sweet options were all delicious with everything from traditional cucumber tea sandwich to inventive delicata squash with pomegranate seed canapé. Vast tea options, including iced tea. Cute decor and most excellent and attentive team of servers. Highly recommend.

It’s a wonderful experience for everyone. Delicious tea. Would absolutely make this a go to destination in Boston even if celiac was not a factor. Everything is delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic and it is a treat to have a full afternoon tea.

Absolutely stunning experience. The freedom that comes with enjoying a meal at a place where gluten doesn’t even have to cross your mind is magical, and this place absolutely delivers. Such a beautiful collection of sandwiches, cakes, and tasties. The tea list is legendary. Had a wonderful oolong and a delightful cocktail! All around 10/10 experience.

Silver Dove was the ultimate tea experience, so it should absolutely be on your list when you're in Boston 🫖
Since Silver Dove is dedicated GF, there was very little to worry about (though they are able to accommodate for other allergies, so make a note of that on your reservation) --leaving me the ability to fully enjoy the experience.
The menu rotates seasonally, so when I went in the beginning of May I was able to enjoy the elderflower macarons, coronation chicken, and snap pea canape, among other delicious items. I also found the house blend of tea to perfectly accompany the food!
Normally I have a pretty sweet tooth, but for me the stars of the show were the savory components and the delicious scones (with jam and clotted cream, of course 😉)!
I also wanted to mention that although the location is a bit small, it's lively and cozy while maintaining a certain stylishness.
Whether you're out with friends or family, I highly recommend Silver Dove for a fun (and gluten free) twist on the Afternoon Tea experience.

I went here during my lunch break with colleagues and it was so cute and delicious! It’s about 60$ when all is said and done, but it is delicious and I thought it was worth it.

I went in July with my best friend. I wanted her to try out GF foods. The whole restaurant is gluten free! Everything! They can also make things dairy free, vegan, etc.
I do wish that they changed up their menus a bit. I went in April 2024 and had the same desserts and most of the same tea sandwiches.
Overall I’m so happy to find this afternoon tea location!

Silver Dove is so fun and lovely! The tea is delicious and you wouldn't believe that every bit of food is gluten-free - it is that phenomenal. And it's surprisingly filling! We didn't need to order any additional food (as tempting as it was). Particular favorites were the asparagus tart and the chocolate olive oil mousse. I can't wait to go back and try their next menu!

This was so fun. Everything I ate was delicious. I added on the special that day which had tuna. I’m dairy free and they accommodated that as well. I’d come back to Boston again just for the tea sandwiches.

For a fun adventure, give this a try. Wonderful tea choices for each person, scones, finger sandwiches , etc. Let them know in advance if you have other allergies (they already are fully GF) so they can accommodate you.

Among my favorite spots! I live nearby and frequent this place for full and petite teas, for special occasions. They are so accommodating to various dietary restrictions and their menu rotates seasonally so there is always something new to try. Staff is friendly and the vibes are great. Highly recommend!

I cannot rave enough! Oh how I have missed high tea since my Celiac diagnosis. This place is small, adorable and the food was delicious. I cannot wait to go back when I next return to Boston. The scones were warm and better than the gluten-containing scones I used to be able to eat. The sandwiches were so tasty and the deviled egg was so amazing that we ordered seconds. The sweets were great too, especially the macaron and the carrot cake. Love love love!!!

This was absolutely delicious even for the non-gluten free eating folks in our party. We have had many afternoon teas (including at Kensington palace and the Plaza hotel in NYC) pre celiac diagnosis and this was one of the best tasting ones we have had, especially the sandwhiches and deviled egg. We loved the scones, macarons, and teas, too. So grateful my daughter had this experience!!!

My daughter and I had a fabulous afternoon tea at the silver dove. The food was very elegant and absolutely delicious. They have a set menu and a substantial tea menu along with cocktails if you'd prefer. The entire menu is gluten free. It is a great special treat If you live in the area. If you're visiting Boston, put this on your list. There are very few places in the tourist areas in Boston that cater to a gluten free/celiac dietary need. Reservations are highly recommended. They were booked on line. I called and they squeezed us in,wiith time parameters that we easily met and kept. I can't guarantee that can happen for you, while we were there they were answering calls and noting that they were full until the middle of the next month. This was an absolutely enjoyable experience, one I rarely get to have as a celiac. A huge thank you to this business.

Absolutely divine! Both the mocktails and cocktails are excellent, teas delicious, service was outstanding. Every bite of food was succulent and fresh. I also have additional allergies, that I informed them of ahead of time, and accommodated beautifully, making me special items that were not on the menu! We were so pleased with the entire experience and look forward to returning.

This place is a GF gem! They were able to accommodate DF as well. My non-GF friend thoroughly enjoyed everything and never would have thought it was 100% GF. Dedicated gluten free afternoon tea in a gorgeous tea room. Everything(!) they bring to you is safe and delicious. The desserts were especially yummy! Earl Grey was smooth and satisfying. Waiter asked if we had any food allergies or restrictions. Silver Dove is absolutely a must visit! Owner stated that menu changes about every six weeks. Reasonably priced for gluten free afternoon tea in Boston. Reservations on weekends are definitely a good idea...the joint was jumping! We've already made reservations for a return visit!

Amazing! I’m gluten and dairy free and didn’t even have to explain anything. I wrote my allergies on the reservation, and they had everything ready to go for me. Felt very safe and everything was delicious! My non-gluten free fiancé loved it too! It’s pricey but worth it.

What an amazing treat this place is. It’s cute! The tea was delicious. Lots of choices. Then, the food!!! Everything was delicious. I had family with me that is not gf. They couldn’t believe how good the food was. If you have other intolerances, they will customize your meal. This is a must do!! Don’t miss it.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Tea was great, staff were kind and aware of multiple allergies, and pastries were all delicious. It’s expensive, but worth it. No outdoor seating, so if you’d like to go when it’s less busy, go on a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.
