I've eaten here twice. They're in a strip mall, but it feels cozy and great for dates (not super expensive or fancy dates). They have a separate gluten free menu with lots of options. The first time I went, I got the gluten free cheese bread/pizza as an appetizer. It wasn't terribly thick, but it was so cheesy and delicious and came with a great dipping sauce. I got a gluten free pizza for the main course because I'd heard it was great. Well, it was like a standard gluten free pizza with thin, rather disappointing crust. Haha, it was fine but I have yet to find an amazing restaurant-made gluten free pizza in my years of looking.
So I decided to try pasta the next time. My husband and I both got gluten free dishes. We got the Chicken Cacciatore and the Spaghetti Rustica with mild sausage. They were both pretty good, but we preferred the rustica. The Cacciatore was slightly spicy. I will say basically the whole menu with pasta just had spaghetti as the gluten free noodle option. The noodles were really thick and swollen like I remember from spaghetti in elementary school or Chuck-a-rama. Is it the best Italian food on the planet? No, but there's more choice than I'd expect, and it's a nice date place that isn't a chain. And the appetizer is so delicious. I'll add some photos.
They do have two dessert choices. They'd just discontinued the mousse 2 weeks ago, and the gelato is not house made. The other was a panna cotta. We opted for no dessert.
Great food, and so many options! This will be a go to!
I saw that Siragusa's has more gluten-free options than most Italian restaurants and wanted to try it. However, I have a Nimapartners Gluten Sensor to test my food for safety before eating, and the results were disappointing. The pasta (with meatballs) and the garlic cheese pizza appetizer both had gluten detected. The panna cotta with raspberry sauce and the Caesar side salad were safely gluten free. I'm still waiting for the owner to call me back about the glutenous items. All in all, this restaurant isn't safe for celiacs; at least, it wasn't on this visit.
Gluten free food is delicious here. I've never had any problems and have been multiple times.
We love eating here. It is our go to for celebrations and fancy date nights. My wife has celiac and has never gotten sick here.
This place is so awesome! I found it by chance on this app while looking for somewhere safe and fun to go for our anniversary. I am so happy we ate here it was incredible!
Lots of gluten free choices on the menu, though few of them were also dairy free. Very understanding staff. Also, she was able to remove onions and mushrooms from a dish or two to make options for low FODMAP.
My wife and I went here for lunch and both ordered off the GF menu. I thought there were lots of good choices for entrées. We had a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti rustica. The server was helpful and proactively let me know some of the precautions they take. The only appetizer she said they could do GF was the focaccia bread, which looked a lot like pizza, but it was pretty tasty dipped in marinara. We didn’t have room for desert, but she said they had several options.
To sum up, the food was good, there were plenty of options, and I felt safe. I would definitely come back and recommend.
I let the wait staff know that I wanted the gluten free menu. She was very friendly and immediately brought me one. I ordered the gluten free spaghetti with shrimps and garlic cheese Flatbread. She explained to me the 2 different sauces they have gliten free. I also ordered the chocolate mousse but they were out of it . Also the only gluten free option they had was spaghetti.overall, the portions were satisfying and the food delicious. I would definitely be going back to that place.
First time coming here and was concerned from the start. Had to clarify multiple times with the waiter that we were ordering off the gluten free menu. My partner (who orders GF but is not celiac) asked for a side salad with Italian dressing. She allowed the order to go through even though it says on their menu that only the ranch and honey dressing are GF. We realized this after the fact looking at the check which said “creamy Italian”. The waiter brought us the wrong food originally because it “looked similar”.
Small things:
I also asked for decaffeinated tea and she ended up bringing me black to and I noticed to late. They didn’t have silverware or napkins on the table and she served us spaghetti with just a spoon.
I have eaten here several times and have never gotten sick. Really good food. It is one of our date night go to’s.
Loved this meal! Carbonara was delicious. Also had an appetizer of focaccia
The food was fantastic! The staff is very knowledgeable as well.
I would have never thought that such an amazing place would have been in this location.
My wife and I shared a pizza and had the house salad with the balsamic dressing. I have celiac and didn't get any reaction what so ever.
Our waitress was also one of the best waitresses I've ever had.
Owners and some of staff are celiacs and aware of how to prepare foods for other allergies. Restaurant has its own gluten free menu with the largest selection I've seen anywhere of pasta and pizza. I've eaten there several times with no reactions. Food is delicious and they make gluten-free foccia bread with cheese.
My tween son and I have to eat gf, him for Celiac disease and me for Hashimoto's. Our family has been to Siragusa's three times now and the two of us have never gotten sick. My husband and daughters love the regular good and my son and I love the gf options. The restaurant looks quite awful on the outaide, being in a strip mall, but is very charming inside. Nice staff, yummy food!
Delicious, real Italian food! I've been several times and never felt sick, and I'm quite sensitive. I've been pining for some good Italian, because it's hard to find. They have a separate GF menu and everything.
Fantastic authentic GF Italian. Best GF noodles I've ever had.
Wow the gluten free food was excellent llots of choices and there's even a gluten-free bread and dessert. Yummy. My husband had the veal parmesan it's not gluten-free he said it was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor very large portions.
This place is divine! The food is incredible and decently priced. The portions are great! They not only have a Gluten Free Appetizer, but they also have a Gluten Free dessert. The staff is very knowledgable about what's Gluten Free. You won't regret going here!
We found Siragusa's on this site and decided to try it. We asked the histess about the g;uten free items and she provided the GF menu. Our waitress, Amanda, was very knowledgeable about the gluten free optons. I odered the GF Gorgonzola Chicken. My wife had a combination, sweet potato gnocchi and chicken parmagiana (not GF). We both enjoyed the richly flavored dishes. Two dessert items were listed as GF. We both ordered the chocolate mousse and not the gelato. The mousse was rich and delicious. Amanda said that it was mde in-house. Overall, we had a great dining experience - good food and service, and hopefully totally GF. We'll definitely return to Siragusa's Italaian Cuisine.
The food was good. It tasted real and fresh, not prepackaged and reheated in a microwave. Unfortunately, it was also bland and the portions were quite small. The gellato was more like ice milk than a true creamy home made gellato. No one got sick but given the cost to portion ratio I'm not sure I'd eat there again.
Amazingly good gluten-free meal! im very impressed and will definitely be a repeat customer. They have a lot of options, a full page of choices on one side of menu and the back has several pizza choices; desserts and drinks; even gluten-free beer. The pasta is excellent, it tastes like I remember regular pasta.
Great place to get some gf Italian food. Arrived for a business trip and this was a great option! I can't say for sure if they have separate gf kitchen but the food was great! Appeared as a hole in the wall from the exterior but a nice interior. I highly recommend this location. I even ordered a meal to go.
I've only been there once, but was not impressed. The food wasn't very tasty, but I guess I should give it another try.
I have EoE and Celiac Disease and this place is amazing! Great gluten free menu and the staff is super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend!
