First time I’ve been able to have sticky toffee pudding in about a decade and it was fabulous. Poutine was just okay.

Amazing for celiacs (: so many options. As a brit it was so nice to be able to have poutine, and finding gf fried chicken is always great. The staff know what they’re doing and the frier is kept gf.

GF menu is abundant, dedicated fryer for fish and chips. GF poutine! Great kids menu. Just make sure to indicate your are celiac, as there is so much GF it can be easy to assume everything is GF - kids mac ‘n cheese is not :)

I appreciate the selection of GF options as well as the quality of the dishes. I was really thrilled to order the GF pirogies with an assortment of house-made sides, and it was delicious. However, the portions are quite small for the cost (non-gf friends were also a little surprised by this) and our group left still hungry.

So many delicious gf/df options including calamari and glutenburg beer😍 the braised bean tacos were decent and there were multiple desert options too. Our server was very helpful and went to check in with the kitchen when she wasn’t sure. I’m looking forward to trying more!

Visiting for 4 days and ate dinner here twice it was so awesome. This place is my new favorite restaurant. The vibe is awesome, the deck and inside are amazing. And the gluten free bun is the best I’ve ever eaten in the 5 years as a celiac.

Choices, choices, choices! All desserts are gf! Many options to choose from. Worth a stop. Other things to note—no a/c and it was rather warm when we were there and only one waitress on the “family” side so she was very busy!

Six Mile is an amazing option for Celiac friendly. The menu is predominantly GF, they prepare our food in a separate area and have a dedicated fryer.
I love the fish and chips, not something I can order everywhere.
They are on the Canadian Celiac Association list as a safe option.
— Yes, the establishment is dedicated gluten-free

Great place to eat for celiacs & non-celiacs alike! The menu clearly identifies items as GF or GFO for ones that can be modified to be completely GF. The wait person was very knowledgeable about celiac & the importance of proper kitchen protocols. They have a dedicated gf fryer and have worked with the local celiac association to develop safe kitchen procedures & staff training. I felt 100% safe eating my delicious corn chowder, salad & gf bun - made in house!

Great food for everyone! Feels very safe as they know all about celiac disease. Staff are very on top of it. Separate fryer, toaster, kitchen, etc. They mark items on menu as “GF” (“great food that is also gluten free”) or “GFO” (if it can be substituted for GF, for example burgers that can have GF bun. Definitely recommend!

They also have several liked her, healthy options that are delicious. They are always very careful and considerate. And they have a great variety of house-made gluten-free desserts.yum!

What a great dining experience. They totally cater to celiac. Wait staff is friendly. Food is fantastic! So happy we stopped here. Fish chips with onion rings were out of this world delicious. ALL desserts are gf!!!
Yes
Tonight I ordered fish and chips that were on the menu as gluten free, within 30 minutes I was very sick with stomach cramps. Clearly the food was either cross contaminated or not gluten free at all. Disappointing.
No
Service was good and we appreciate that there were so many safe options. Batter is quite thick and heavy on the fish in their fish and chips and the onion ring batter was far too thick and lacking in flavor.
Full Celiac Kitchen!!! Food is good. Dedicated deep fryer. Very safe for Celiac patrons - prob best on the island!!
Yes
Fabulous meal, many items to choose from! The kitchen has a dedicated gluten free area including a dedicated gluten free fryer.

Nirvana for celiacs! Able to order off the menu where there are plenty of options such as Pierogies or fish n chips all with GF beer!!!! It doesn't get any better.
Yes
The staff was very knowledgeable! I couldn't decide between and fish and chips and pouting. They suggested I get both! So I did. Excellent! I also got a lemon tart to go because I was stuffed but couldn't pass it up. That was fantastic!
Yes
Most of the menu (including all but one dessert) is gluten free. Both my husband and I ordered gluten free (he isn’t gluten free) and we both LOVED our meals! I ordered fish and chips and he ordered the pierogie. Two chefs back was celiacs and they kept the menu. Extensive drink list!
Yes
I was told the chef is celiac and I know runs the kitchen in the best way possible. Everything going in the fryers is GF so no need to worry! Proper pub food outing for celiacs! Also has GF beer available.
Yes
Crab cake was phenomenal, as well as the GF fish and chips!

This is the easiest and most relaxing dining out experience I've had since being diagnosed! The GF options are extensive, the staff is knowledgeable, and they adhere to really strict Celiac safety protocols (eg. Bringing out the GF meal separately from the non-GF meals) which really helped to put me at ease. The food was standard pub food (i.e. fries, burgers, fish and chips) - everything my partner and I had was great.
Yes
Great celiac procedures, great awareness of wait staff, amazing food.

The food was amazing! I have to avoid both Gluten and soy, and the waitress made sure my experience was successful. Completely celiac friendly!

Really enjoyed the pub experience, awesome that all fryers are GF, so my kids got their first chicken strips ever!! They were great. I got shepherds pie, delicious.
If you are Celiac (and even if you're not) you MUST visit this place. BC's oldest pub, Six Mile is a dedicated gluten-free facility. All of their fish and chips are gluten free and they have great gluten-free kids meals including chicken strips and fish and chips. Also have three gluten-free beers. Definitely worth it!

Fantastic selection! The chef is celiac. All fryers are GF. BEST wings in town! Honey garlic lemon grass are my favourite! Sunday brunch is divine. Really great atmosphere and lovely, knowledgable servers. I've had over fried fish and chips a couple times but other than that it's superb. So much to choose from! Don't miss a visit here!
Yes
Fabulous! Oldest pub in BC established 1855. Had the gluten free beer battered cod burger!! So many options of gluten-free on the menu!
I have been here a few times now. There is always good service, knowledgeable staff, and plenty of yummy gluten-free options - stuff you don't often see. Last time I went I didn't realize they do brunch buffet on Sundays and so I was thinking I was going to have to gingerly pick through what I thought looked gluten-free enough as they don't do their regular menu during this time, but no! The chef came out and walked me around the buffet and explained what he could make gluten-free for me separately in the back. There was a $3 surcharge for this but he piled up so much delicious food on my plates (yes, plural) that it was insignificant. The lovely lady that served us explained they have so many options simply because the chef loves to do it. The restaurant also prides itself on their commitment to local, sustainable, and environmental choices. Lovely patio too.
