I would not recommend this place for anyone with celiac disease simply because they are clueless about what would be ok for someone with Celiacs Disease . I am always nervous about picking through a salad bar.

Yes

I researched before we went there. I knew they had an allergen menu. I printed a copy to take with me. I told the cashier I had an allergy to gluten. She told me she's get the manager. He met me with the allergen menu and helped put my order together. He told the cashier what to put in. Then he went into the kitchen to advise the cooks. He personally brought every plate to me to be sure it was handled carefully, while he wore gloves. I was/am extremely impressed. We will eat there more as a family. They did their best and most of all, I feel great tonight. I usually react quickly is there is a problem. I'd highly recommend this place.

Sizzler has gluten free options for steaks and chicken but what impressed me the most was the salad bar. Everything was labeled with allergens on the sneeze guard and gluten free options were clearly marked. Their ranch dressing was gluten free, they had soup and nacho options available in gluten free and I was able to eat a full meal and leave feeling satisfied.

Their steak run/seasoning is GF (they brought out the bag so I could read it myself). And it was DELICIOUS!! I asked the server to make a note on my order that I’m allergic to wheat so that helped too. The baked potato was yummy too. I’m Celiac so I can’t tolerate gluten at all.

They have posted on the glass above the salad bar what things are gluten free. They seemed to take care in the kitchen preparing my steak and they had steak sauces I could use. You still have to be careful because it is a salad bar. I try to go at 11 am or around 4 pm when they are getting things set uo for the big meal time at the salad bar.

They didn't have a gluten free menu. The first person I spoke with said everything on the salad bar was gluten free. That was simply not true and I wouldn't trust the salad because of so much cross contamination.

Just like any other buffet...you take your chances on cross contamination. They do have most items marked with the food ingredients...the staff is willing to always go and look at the list or bring it out to you if you have questions. Always a good option when you need something quick but healthy choices from the salad bar. I have never been cross contaminated at a Sizzlers...
