No dedicated Gaf fryer, so most of the .enu not edible.
So great! Salmon and mashed potatoes and veggie medley … yum! Manager handled my gf situation and brought the food out. They don’t take reservations but it’s worth the wait. The bar upstairs is due for a makeover as it was jammed with guests waiting for tables. Such good food. They seriously have the food biz figured out. Great experience!

The staff and service were amazing! Great views and they were very knowledgeable and careful about everything we ordered. I had the most delicious lobster roll on a warm hot dog bun CT style! It was amazing! Highly recommend!

GF was not marked on menu, but waitstaff was knowledgeable. Not a GF fryer so waitstaff made recommendations. Had the baked cod , boiled potatoes and sauted summer veggies. All fresh and delicious. My meal was delivered separately from my partner, as the "allergy meal" Get there early. There was a wait at 5:30. Kid friendly!

Very helpful staff! Menu not labeled with GF option but plenty of accommodations and safety reassurances. Fryer not dedicated. Really good GF burger/sandwich rolls.

Lots of GF options - including rolls! My daughter had Mac n cheese. She even got her food first - and this never happens; she’s usually staring at the rest of us while we eat because they always make her food second. Only downfall was a very long wait to be seated because they don’t take reservations, but the food and service makes up for it! And they have an ice cream shack attached so great ice cream for dessert

We had a fabulous experience here. The waitress was very knowledgeable. The first question she asked when she got to the table was about allergies. We felt very safe eating there! My son could choose between a lobster roll, mini slider burgers and GF pasta/Mac and cheese. He was thrilled and loved the burgers!

We went here for drinks and appetizers and there were very few appetizers that were GF options so i had shrimp from the raw bar. The bar tender who served us however was terrific. It was clear he understood CC and was completely honest and knowledgeable about the safety of the food. Because of that I will go back again and try a full dinner.

Great gluten free awareness. While they did make a mistake with my order this time and gave me French fries with my gluten free lobster roll, they were very apologetic and quickly made my replacement. Have been here many times over the years and that was the only time they made a mistake.

There aren’t many gluten free options on the menu, but I was incredibly satisfied with my garden salad (no croutons) and grilled chicken. The waiter asked if there were any allergies in our party and assured me the grill would be cleaned before my chicken was cooked. It was very tasty!

The waiter paid extra attention to every concern, and showed excellent knowledge. However, choices were limited for my non-seafood eating Celiac wife. A very safe chicken Caesars salad.

I didn’t see anything on the menu gluten-free, but that didn’t mean they didn’t accommodate me. The manager came and spoke with me about my needs, the order was taken, cooked in separate pans and delivered by a manager. It was spot on and delicious. I had baked scrod and fresh vegetables. They were extremely knowledgeable about cross contamination.

I am gluten free and i asked for a GF bun on my burger and they didn’t give me that. I also had to pay extra for cheese and they didn’t give me cheese either. My mom is celiac and they didn’t give her gluten free pasta. We clearly stated we were gluten free and I’m very upset. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. I am upset because the reviews were good.

Skippers chowder house is an awesome place. The owner came out to talk about my dinner. They have an allergist on staff. They take allergies very seriously here. I had a wonderful dinner, baked scrod, roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. The owner brought it out to me himself. I highly recommend you try Skippers. One more thing, I left here full. Sometimes when I eat out, I have to come home and eat something else, I’m still hungry. Not tonight. The piece of fish was huge, lots of veggies, and tons of potatoes. I will definitely come back.

Very good! Had GF buns, which were fresh, and even GF pasta. They could make lobster Mac and cheese with GF pasta. I did not get that but next time I will. I got lobster boil (excellent with steamed clams and mussels) and hubby got burger on GF bun. Burger was good. Fries are also GF. Nice setting across from the beach.
They don't list any items as gluten-free on their menu. I told our waiter Emilio that I had Celiac Disease and wasn't comfortable ordering anything. A few minutes later the owner, Amy came over to our table to tell me that they were very familiar with Celiac Disease and they could make anything on the menu gluten-free. She told me that she would have her son, Aiden the cook, change his gloves, use a new pan, and separate utensils. she said they would even get a new bag of lettuce so I didn't have to worry about possible cross contamination.. Emilio even came over with gloves on and showed me the bottle of salad dressing so I could see that it was gluten free. I ordered grilled salmon and a salad and it tested safe on my Nima sensor. It was delicious. Amy and her staff went above and beyond and I was extremely grateful because you don't see that very often.I would highly recommend Skipper's restaurant and will definitely be back.
