Stopped by for a light dinner after a long day and a lot of places had closed already. Got a half pound of the peel and eat shrimp from the app menu. It wasn't great, but I guess it's about what I expected for the price point so only docking one star. Definitely not fresh. A little fishy and fairly tough. I've had better at home, and I'm from Ohio.

I am celiac and always reluctant to try new places without any reviews. Skippers menu has only a few items that are labeled gf. I don't believe that there's a separate preparation are but the server Adam was very diligent about double checking the gf listed items for me. He had a family member with celiac and understood the concern. Food was very good and I had no issues. I will return here again.

Locale molto carino con menù che evidenzia i piatti gluten free. Ho preso un risotto con pesce e fagiolini: delizioso!

There were several appetizers and salads that were GF but only one GF entree. Got nachos and a salad, they were just ok.

Items labeled on menu. Got the grilled Mahi and it was delicious. My boys got the nachos and enjoyed them too. We are all sensitive celiacs and none of us had a problem.

Gf nachos were delicious. Items are limited but labeled. The staff double checks with the frozen alcoholic drink. Miami vice was so good! Very friendly staff.

Gluten free is marked on the menu which (although options are limited) I always appreciate. My first opportunity to have the local conch chowder which was pretty good however despite labelled GF it came with crackers which the waitress said we’re not GF. Also had the burger without the bun although had to have it sent back as it came out with onion rings on top which were not gluten free. It’s a lovely setting though and there are some GF options if you exercise caution.

The staff were familiar with celiac. Food came pretty quickly considering the world is short staffed. Service was great, everyone helped each other out. Would return.

Wonderful experience! Nachos were GF, they don’t fry their chips, they bring them in so no issue with cross contact with fryer. I had wedge salad with shrimp that was huge. Ate here twice with servers being aware of issues and not hesitating for how to handle it.

Had the nachos with chicken today. Waitress was great. She checked with the chef to ensure the seasoned chicken was safe for me to eat. I'm very sensitive to cross contamination and no issues so far!
Fun place to sit outside. I had the wedge salad and conch chowder which was average. My friends loved their fried fish and fish tacos. Fun drinks and happy hour too!

Two words: Conch Chowder. Ate here repeatedly while on vacation, had that chowder many times, the wedge, and other items marked. Good stuff, no reaction.

Gf marked on menu. Prob best to stick to naturally gf items, nachos are huge and no reaction, salad with chicken good no reaction - I’m suspecting cross contamination with the gf brownie Sunday but couldn’t resist - just a slight reaction. (It was lunch then dinner later 😀)
We went for happy hour and music. I had the loaded nachos which for happy hour is called mini nachos but they were definitely not mini. It was a good portion and included multi color corn chips, jerk chicken, peppers, olives, tomatoes cheese and I’m sure more. They were good. Also had the conch chowder which was gluten free and very good. Little spicy for me but good.
Ordered the spinach salad with citrus vinaigrette for lunch. Very good. Our waitress was really helpful with pushing our food through quickly so we could catch our boat trip. Not very many GF options but they are clearly marked on the menu, which I appreciate.
Fish came out raw, my fiances burger came out raw twice. The second time the fish came out it was so dry, the nachos were NOT gluten free because within 15 mintues I started feeling sick.
Mahi-mahi and shrimp & grits are great...perhaps we will be trying the other options as well on our visit here!

The food at Skippers was excellent. The menu is marked with GF for the gluten items. The selection is small but the choices are delicious. We had the Conch Chowder, Shrimp & Grits, and the Snapper Special with sweet potato hash, grilled peppers and asparagus. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return during our next trip to Key Largo. Our server Justin was very knowledgeable about the GF menu options and spoke directly with the chef about our needs. Very nice low key casual environment.

Not a huge selection of GF menu items, however the lobster tail was phenomenal
