I’m fine with food that touches gluten, but I got so sick from eating here.

I had burnt ends, sliced beef, beans and a strawberry margarita. They weren’t very sure on all of the food items, but said these were gf but obviously something wasn’t. I even called back to check and they insisted it was all gf.

Waitress was knowledgeable about GF, another server brought out food but had to return first plate due to putting on bread (Servrr mistake) so not as attentive as they should be. Food was good, no reaction.

Decent, not great, BBQ. The lack of gluten-free fries was a disappointment. I at least haven't gotten sick from eating there.

Very overpriced BBQ!!! Had to send food back because bread was on plate. Once fixed I didn’t have issues. Not large portions so I was disappointed and felt I overpaid.

In my opinion, Smokehouse food quality and flavor is among the top in the KC area. They do not have a gluten-free menu, but they provide an information sheet describing safe menu items. Our server had a good grasp of gluten-free and, from her description, it appeared the kitchen staff does, too. Fries are not gluten-free. I ate the burnt end platter (beef and ham chunks) with cole slaw and bbq beans and had no reaction. We recommend this restaurant. They have two other locations in the KC area and one in Columbia, MO, but I have not dined at them.
