Great comfort food all safely gluten free! We had chicken tenders and an order of fish and chips. The fries are gf so long as you specify gf. Almost everything on the menu can be gluten free! Worth the drive to have a safe, tasty GF meal! Milkshakes were also delicious.

Excellent gf fish and chips! I have never had a gluten-free fish and chips so this was a huge treat. The owner was running the place alone so he was super busy. We were thrilled with all of our food- excellent quality!

The food was excellent and I’m 100% confident precautions are taken to ensure GF. However, make sure to call ahead if you have a party of 6 or more, and allow lots of time regardless. We waited 1.5 hours for our breakfast and there were only two orders ahead of us. The tables that came after us probably waited longer.

Separate toaster and waffle irons at the very least. Owner has Celiac.
Drop everything and go. Best GF pancakes and waffles I’ve ever had. Also toast. Owner has Celiac and they are amazing.
It’s in the airport with an outside entrance.

Best meal I have had on my trip to Yellowstone. Tasty burger, excellent toasted GF bun, excellent fries. Proprietor very knowlegeable.
Dedicated kitchen space. GF bread, buns, tortillas, waffles, pancakes. Will make fries in dedicated fryer if he knows you are GF.
He was working alone, chef and server but the food was well worth the wait.
Will definitely come back!
The gluten-free waffles were delicious - best I’ve ever had! Thank you so much for a wonderful breakfast!

Separate equipment for gf food. Cate was incredible and has celiac disease so I felt very safe! The pancakes were so good, and all of my friends enjoyed their regular food a lot. You can still eat here even if you aren’t flying out of the airport.
Incredible gf pancakes and everything is so filling!

The owner has extensive knowledge of gluten free procedures and has separate appliances etc for gluten free foods.
Gluten free options for nearly all food on the menu, owner is very able and willing to work with dairy and egg free needs as well. Very impressed! Far more options than I usually have!
Awesome stop near Yellowstone, worth a detour!!

This place is awesome! You can have pretty much anything on the menu and know it’s going to be safe to eat. I had the breakfast burrito and it was the best tortilla I’ve had. Owners wife has celiac so he’s very knowledgeable!

We visited in August. Great gluten free fish and chips. My son has Celiac & I have gluten intolerance. We had no issues. My husband ordered a salad with grilled chicken. He said it was very good, but he did get sick that evening. Don’t think it was restaurants fault, probably bad lettuce. It’s a unique location inside the tiny West Yellowstone airport. We would definitely return.
Yes
Great place just north of the West Yellowstone entrance. It's a cafe in the airport. The staff is very knowledgeable and some also are Celiac. There is a seperate dedicated fryer without soybean oil! I can not remember the last time I had crunchy fries when eating out.
Yes
Loved the gluten free fries! The owner came to our table to answer my questions about ingredients to help me order gluten and dairy free.
Yes
Excellent! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. GF BLT with fries is a rare treat.
Yes
The owners wife has Celiac disease, So they have developed their own gluten-free beer battered fish and chips! They have dedicated fryers too! she said everything on the menu except... (and listed like three things) is gluten-free!
Yes
Fish n chips, awesome Very friendly, 2 minute drive from W Yellowstone and drove right to front door. No wait, arrived at 11;15. Tons of GF options, Highly recommend, this is the best place if been that is really dialed in to Celiac.
Yes
We went out of our way to come here because of the reviews on here, and it did not disappoint! I was amazed in the middle of nowhere Montana in a restaurant attached to an airport I had the best CELIAC safe fish and chips! The wife is celiac and the husband is the chef. Almost everything on their menu was GF or could be GF. I am so pleased!
Yes
Amazing!! After traveling for hours and hours to get to west yellowstone we were starving. I asked to be sure they had a dedicated fryer and was impressed with how knowledgeable they were. Ordered the fish and chips and they were amazing. Total bill for two? $25
Yes
The owner/cook tells you exactly what is safe to eat. He has his own delicious GF coatings, GF pancakes, buns and a dedicated fryer. If you have a large group try to make reservations as it is a small restaurant that is obligated to make sure customers getting on flights aren’t late. Be patient as it is well worth the wait to eat delicious and safe foods.
Yes
Was not open at 3 pm. Hours wrong.
Owner makes his own pancake and waffle batter. Food was excellent!!! Prices reasonable. Highly recommended.
Yes
I stopped in for lunch and had a tasty cheeseburger with a gluten free bun. The owner said he would use new oil for the fries as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Not open all time call before go
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was terrific. The chef came out to tease my daughter about choosing a salad rather than any of his other “gluten free goodness” since that’s often the only option for those with celiac. That made us laugh! Completely unexpected, but very appreciated, find in the middle of our road trip home!
Yes
Excellent breakfast pancakes were amazing
Yes
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about what food was safe for celiacs and what was not. I am very sensitive and I didn’t get sick. The food was really good and there’s a dedicated fryer.

After getting VERY sick twice while visiting Yellowstone, we drove an hour out of our way just to go to Smokejumper so that I could have a day where I didn't get glutened. The owner could not have been more helpful. He is super friendly and was completely understanding when I said I couldn't do gluten, soy or dairy. His wife has celiac, so he gets it. I got fish and chips, which is next to impossible to get anywhere else. It was excellent. Service = awesome. Food = so good! Wish I lived closer. If I ever go to Yellowstone again, I will stick to this place.
Yes
We were SO excited to eat here on our Yellowstone trip. My son is 5 and rarely gets to eat out. One of the few Celiac safe restaurants in the area and the only one open during lunch that had food my son would eat. When we arrived we were told our group of 8 was too big and they wouldn't be able to serve us. We asked if we could eat as 2 groups of 4 and they said that we could come back after 3:30 and they would serve us. Very disappointed! The owners wife is celiac so we were hoping he would understand how limited our options were and serve us. Won't be going back!
So how was the food? Oh, right, you didn't wait your turn to buy some, so you wouldn't know! (It's amazing)
The rules are there for a reason, Carrie. And if you don't understand why, then you are the reason for the rule in the first place.
This is a tool for people to help each other with honest reviews about food options,
Shame on this apps admin for not taking this BS review down.
Very safe. Quite a few options. Friendly employees.
Wow. Great breakfast and lunch (up until mid afternoon) place tucked in local airport. Fantastic food - fries in dedicated fryer, wings in same. My husband cried to have gluten free fish and chips. Caught owner at end of day and he’s a delight and cares about the great food. If I couldn’t find lodging in Yellowstone (or even if I could) I would stay in. West Yellowstone simply to eat safely for many meals (we spent many days of our trip sick... :(). This place rocks!

We were very fortunate to return to Smokejumpers and bring our entire family for a 50th Anniversary celebration meal while we spent a week in Yellowstone National Park. Six of our party of thirteen must eat gluten free so everyone was glad to see the "Welcome to Gluten-freedom" sign as we entered. A number of our grandchildren have various combinations of food allergies that present a challenge to any dining establishment's kitchen. James, owner and chef, prepares just about every dish from scratch so he is able to adjust his recipes to meet the needs of each individual. It is so refreshing to sit back and relax and know with confidence that James will produce dish that will be very tasty and not result in a grandchild becoming ill! If you come for breakfast or brunch, be sure to try the GF pancakes or waffles. Then you may want to come back for his outstanding "Fish & Chips". For real treat try the Lobster Bisque; it is excellent! The meal we enjoyed here was absolutely the best one of the entire week! I am sure your experience may be the same.

Amazing experience! Very knowledgeable and many options!

This place is amazing! So many gluten free options. Ordered fish and chips, tuna melt, and the kids grilled cheese sandwiches. Everything we ate was wonderful. Very knowledgeable! The owner/cooks wife has celiacs. He even came out to talk with us! So wonderful!! Definitely going back!!
Yes
Thank you so much for creating a safe gluten free eating environment! Eating out is always a risk with limited options and you created the safety and had options that I have never found anywhere else! The food was so tasty and filling and I loved the dedication and creativity in creating amazing recipes! I will make this my go to everytime I am in the area. The owner understands first hand the gluten allergies so he has created a dedicated gluten free kitchen and he creates recipes and sauces from scratch!
Yes
Had the buffalo burger and chicken gluten free. They were excellent!
My 9 year old celiac daughter is in heaven enjoying her fries! After she got glutened at another West Yellowstone restaurant. (Slippery Otter) we were all a bit nervous to try again. So glad we did! Thanks Smokejumper Cafe!!!
Outstanding gf options. Waffle was sooo good! Great service.
Gf waffles & bacon...without worry! So delicious brought a tear to my eye! Best breakfast I was able to order at a restaurant in 5 years! Definitely recommend and the whole breakfast menu could be made gf as well as the lunch menu. Super friendly, too!
Yes
Had both an early dinner and breakfast here. All of the food we ordered was good and our son who has Celiac enjoyed his buffalo wings, fish and chips and a shake. We originally thought it was a little strange that this cafe was located at the Yellowstone airport but after our two visits we would highly recommend it for anyone regardless if you have Celiac's or not.
Yes
I have celiac and real issues eating out. Have not had fish and chips in over 4 years. This place is amazing. Food was delicious and they really understand gluten free.
Yes
I've never gone to an airport just to eat at a restaurant, but I'm glad I did this time!
Good, friendly service and virtually anything on the menu is GF (or can be customized) including all the waffles, pancakes, toast, hollandaise sauce, etc.
Was fairly busy and understaffed but they managed well. Make sure you have time to spare and aren't rushing, and enjoy the wonderful options!
Ate breakfast and lunch there. GF waffle for breakfast and wings with fries for lunch.
My 12yr old daughter has celiacs and no reaction at all.
Staff is very knowledgeable and great to speak with.
Can not recommend enough!!!
Yes
Amazing service and one of the few places where you can get GF fish and chips! They offer a variety of GF options.
Yes
We were surprised that a dedicated GlutenFree restaurant would be at the Yellowstone airport, but decided to try it for lunch. Knowing that a kitchen has dedicated space and skills for GF prep makes for a much more relaxed eating experience. Fish and chips were delicious. Highly recommended.
Yes
First, let me say this is the restaurant for the Yellowstone airport. That helps to find it. Next, I want to say I love this place. They not only get it but they can make almost everything on their menu gluten free. And they are happy to tell you in detail how they do it. I had gf beer-battered, fried cod and delicious fries, tarter sauce and a lemon slice and almost cried , it was so good. My tummy felt happy all day afterwards. Wish I could eat there regularly.
Yes
This place is amazing! I have a digestive disease (not celiac) that causes me to have a lot of food allergies, one of which is gluten. The staff was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. I got the gluten free fish and chips. They were the best I have ever had, and I didn't have a problem! It's a bit off the beaten path, but totally worth it.
Yes
Everyone is right - the GF fish and chips are well worth the ride!
Really good food! They go above and beyond to keep everything gluten free and safe from cross-contamination. It makes a difference when allergies effect your loved ones! Thank you so much!! Wish your place was closer to home!!
Yes
Who gets to eat GF waffles away from home? Well this is the place. The owner's (cook) girlfriend has Celiac so he knows what he is going. Absolutely delicious light and crispy. Fabulous menu. Too bad they are only open for breakfast and lunch or we would have been back for dinner
