This used to be Richard’s Fried Chicken. Closed during pandemic and reopened with new name but same owner. GF fried chicken is good but shared fryer for fries.

This place is the worst honestly because they say almost everything is gf but no dedicated fryer to separate non gf hush puppies. If they haven’t made hush puppies that day, then it is fine but that is rare to never.

I ate here yesterday for the first time. I had never heard of this restaurant. The cashier told me that the restaurant is 100% gluten free. I was so excited! I had a potato bun with my sandwich and macaroni. I nearly cried it was so good, and I have never had gluten free buns or mac like that! WELL, turns out, the items I got are not even gluten free! I wondered why I was so sick yesterday and today, so upon research, I found that the worker was drastically uninformed. Thank God I have Celiac instead of a life-threatening allergy. I’d rather be in pain than dead! 🥲

Was told almost everything is now gluten free (not buns, waffles, Mac and cheese, or hush puppies). Did not have any reaction.

They were very helpful and even mentioned that the potato wedges aren't technically gluten free because they use the same fryer as other things with gluten. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich without bread and a brussels slaw. They mentioned that they were looking into gluten free buns in the future.

Delicious! We had the chicken sandwich (ordered to go without a bun and used our own at home) and the slaw. Much of their menu is gluten free but they don’t offer a gluten free bun. We loved Richard’s Southern Fried and were so sad when it closed. The chef/owner reopened with Soul and kept some of our favorite things on the menu. It is great! Can’t wait to go again!
