GF items not marked on the menu but the staff is knowledgeable about gluten safety. When the waitress wasn’t sure of something she immediately went back to the kitchen to get a clear answer. The food was remarkable. You are doing a disservice if you do not get the duck fat tots.

4/27/22 This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Athens, especially before I had to go GF. The new chef is all about the wheat. As of this review, there is no GF menu (there is an allergy chart the server can look at) and GF items are not noted on the menu. Awesome servers and great bar. If you want to eat here, come for the duck fat fried tater tots and a drink. This restaurant can be so much more, so if they get with the times, I’ll update this review.

They brought me an entirely different dish than I had ordered and this new dish was not GF. I requested them to prepare what I had ordered from the menu, which they did without problems. The GF dish I received tasted very good.

There are tots fried in a dedicated gf fryer. There are also lots of other fancier foods that are good here, bomb salads, etc., but who cares when there are GF TOTS!

Limited gluten free options, but our primary server was extremely knowledgeable. She spoke with the kitchen to be sure they took precautions against cross contamination. My daughter ended up with a plain cheeseburger, no bun, & a fruit cup & experienced no adverse reactions. It’s a shared fryer, so steer clear of those options. Also, the hummus plate is notated GF on menu, but served with pita bread. Kitchen is knowledgeable, you just have to be VERY specific & be sure to state you want the GF prep for everything you want GF. That way every item will have the GF note next to it for the kitchen staff. Thankfully our server was knowledgeable & eager to assist. Limited menu, but safe option for a meal near the Classic Center.

Update: I was recently informed there is NOT a separate fryer for fries. :( They have a dedicated fryer for items that are not breaded, like the duck fat tots. Everything at this place is so delicious, and I’ve not even had half the menu because of my dietary restrictions (also vegetarian).

Our waitress was really friendly and knowledgeable. The menu has GF options clearly marked. I guess I was under the impression that there were lots of GF options, but there were probably about 7. It was also a little pricey. But, what I ordered was really good.

30 mins to get a table, hour to get our food- def sick from cross contamination :(

I have Celiac and am extremely sensitive to cross contamination. I had lunch here and it was great. The waiter was very knowledgeable about my restrictions and patiently answered all of my question. I had shrimp and grits and it was delicious. No sickness as a result!
