The food here tastes like home cooking from scratch. They always have interesting gf options.
They told us about 90% of their menu is gluten free. Not all items that are gluten free are marked on the menu and the staff checked several items with us to ensure they were safe. We had some fried plantains before the main. I decided to try the Rasta Bean Stew that was listed under the Vegetarian/ Vegan/ GF section of the menu. I ordered boiled cassava root and some mixed veggies on the side. Nima test for the bean stew came back negative for gluten.
Great place. The owners daughter has food issues so while they don't have a specific GF menu she avoids wheat and corn as thickeners. I've never had any reactions after eating. I have wheat sensitivities but especially corn and so it's great to have this place. Wonderful jerk pork and fried plantains.
